Painful enlarged lymph node after biopsy

About a week after the biopsy done on my right breast, I started having tingling in my left arm, and then after another few days heat, tickling and pain sensations in my armpit. Palpation and ultrasound showed that it was an enlarged lymph node. After the ultrasound and an MRI of the breasts, the BS said that my lymph nodes were not suspicious. She also said that lymph node reaction after biopsy, even on the other side, was normal. However, now 6 weeks after the biopsy, my left armpit is still very painful, and you can still see a bulge out.

Has anybody experienced anything similar, or any kind of advice? I feel quite worried, and the pain keeps me from concentrating on the real worry - the cancer in my right breast!

Keep after them. Be your own advocate. It's your body and no one knows it better than you. Don't take no for an answer. It may very we be nothing but you need to know for sure.

Perhaps the lymph channels were disturbed? And if you really think of it biopsy track may be quite long and may need more time to heal. Perhaps the other side is compensating for the cancer side, lymph nodes on the cancer side may be busy dealing with cancer? Since you were diagnosed I assume you have lots of appointments coming up so you can have them check the armpit often.
