For thin skin would silicone look better?

I had terrible reconstruction years ago after bilateral mastectomy.  The radiation side failed and I have no implant on that side now....and super thin skin.  The "healthy" side also looks like crap...looks like a plastic bag full of water under my thin skin.  It is a saline implant. 

To have both sides match I will have to go super super small or it will fail again.  Do silicone hold their shape better?  Do you see lots of ripples with silicone?

    I have silicone implants, my radiation side with the expander failed I then went with Diep flap the the radiated side. They say radiation has a 30 year memory so I did not want to take that chance that it would fail again. My non-radiated side has no ripples and looks very smooth. But I don't think that the skin on that side is as thin as the radiated side. I do think silicone is better for people with mastectomies, I have a friend with saline implants (with real breast) and she can see and feel the edge of the implants.

    my ps discourages against using saline for reconstruction. He said there is no fat to hide the rippling or looseness of the bag. He said silicones tend to fair better since they are firmer but they also feel a bit firmer to the touch

    Are silicon fillable after they are in planted during surgery or do they come prefilled

    They are already filled. The bad part of that is they have to make a bigger incision in order to place the implant. But you probably already have a large enough incision from your BMX and they will just go through that scar instead of making a new one which is less painful anyway.
