Mommy.. That's great news.. So happy for you.!!
-
Trying to narrow down the finalists for the new paint color for the bedroom. I decided to try a a gold color for the room instead because our house is considered a colonial style so I was thinking about keeping in that theme, plus we don't have any rooms that are already that in that color range.
-
Mommy.. What fun planning your bedroom make over.. I'm sure the gold would look lovely.. Post a photo when you finish.!!
Ducky.. Where are you.??
Blondie... Hi.!!
-
I'm here Lucy...........not going anywhere..........your not getting rid of me that easily..............
I care about all of you ladies too much not to be here......trust me I check in everyday......maybe when I have nothing to say I should just do a little "HI"........will from now on.................thanks for caring
-
Mommy
After painting one wall in our bedroom red,................deep red. Which, mind you is quite stunning (in my eye). I am not allowed near the paint store. But, I go any way. My favorite area is the OOPS paint, cans brought back because someone else did not like the color. Somehow, I always find delightful colors there. So maybe Mommy, I should not be a consultant................. I love working with throw away things. It is easy to go buy new, but to repurpose, reuse something is the ultimate shopping challenge.
But, if you are asking me, I think gold would be fabulous! Anything you do in curtains, bead spreads can easily have flecks of gold that will pick up the color. And so vibrant to wake up to.. Counting on some house and garden pics soon Mommy!.

Hi! Lucy

-
Mommy.. Sounds great.. When does the painting begin.??

Hey Ducky pleased to see and really hope I can give you a big hug when we are over your way in October. And for others i will be travelling from Indiana to Washington DC and then to PA early October. If you live on route let me know. Hope to meet some BC friends near Washington and again near Philly. Then we are driving north through Vermont to Montreal.
Now I just would like to put my back pain on the bonfire. Had epidural injection in spine yesterday and it was horrible. Cat 1 is with me this morning,
hugs to all.
-
Ouch Aly............know what those back problems are........hope your feeling a tad better.......heard those injections can be brutal............I'm a coward.............never did them...............
-
Ducky.. I love, love your photo.. Looks like such a fun family celebration..!! I'd fit in nicely.. I love a wine 🍷 :-)

Lucy it was so great seeing the boys.......I took care of them when they were babies, so we became very close......my grandson Kevin went to CAr'nagie Mellon University in Pittsburgh..''.....he was the team quarterback and they won the Championship in his Sr. year...........We use to drive both ways to Pittsburgh from Philly to watch him play.....we did this for 4 years....it took us 5 hours up, and 5 hours home........he is such a joy and so is his brother Pat who graduated from Penn State University.............
Kaileen will be getting married in November, and she is a delight.......she works at Children's Hospital in Phila.........in the Neo=Natal Intensive Care Unit.................she is a nurse and graduated from Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.
My daughter works for GlaxoSmithkline Pharma company....and her husband is an Engineer and he workd for Lockheed Martin...doing confidential government work with the Navy........
I am lucky to have them..................
-
Ducky.. No wonder you are proud of your family.. They are picture perfect , and all doing so well with their careers..!!
-

Careers, yes they are all very successful.......very hard workers with a great work ethic...........*I have another daughter who also works for GlaxoSmithkline.......I worked there for 20 years also, but retired in 1998 to take care of my younger daughter's little baby so she could continue to work.both my daughters have worked for the company for 30 years......one is 56, the other 46...one retired for 10 years and then went back when her children were a little older..
