Actually I've tried 2 styles of crocs. Worst things I ever put on my feet. Can't do flip flops either.

    Good Morning all,

I am back at home, unpacking the rental & attempting to start the next chapter. The cruise was wonderful, we played ping pong, corn hole, swam in the ocean, watched the sunsets & stargazed at night. I was not keen on the food, I am a admitted picky eater.

Chevster, I was in the Denver airport Saturday evening. Holy crapoly, what a downpour. Lots of flights were delayed, our flight left without many passengers, they could not land. Ok, here is the exciting part, I got a $533.00 voucher from Southwest Airlines for volunteering to give up my seat.

Still need to go back & discover what is happening here. I have read a little.

Patty Pepper, I am hoping things are better. You deserve a carefree summer with those handsome boys of yours.

Hello to all, I will pop in soon.

Freygea- sorry about the chemo cancel. I Hope the day gets better!

It cracks me up this shoe allegiance that folks have in different parts of the country. I grew up in mostly New England and Mid Altlantic States before turning 30 and getting transfered to CA. It took me a long time to give up the notion that docksiders were appropriate footware for everything except weddings and funerals. It was like a comfort thing... my blankie and my mushy soft dock siders. Then to CA where I discovered Birkenstocks! Ooohhh comfort on hot days; I was smitten! My DD's call them Herman Munster shoes. I call them comfy, but they shouldnot cost 100 for what they are made of. Now the thong/flip-flop and crock wars! Ha ha it's so fun.

I just finished reading this funny article in NYTimes about India trying to break world record on the most amount of folks doing Yoga together. Well they certainly have enough people to bust any record! The civil servants who are desk jockey types in their 50's were pitifully complaining their noses do not touch their knees and enough. Pretty funny. But the president wants all of India's workers to participate or else- job security being in question! I like the idea of a collective conscious for yoga, like the idea of teaching meditation to school kids. But then leave the practice up to the individual. When we were in Vietnam in the mornings you could see groups of folks in parks and such doing Tai Chi. It was beautiful to watch and from all accounts helps your balance and stress levels and wellbeing. I saw mostly middle aged and older foks practicing the sets in the early morning before the heatof the day took off. They say older folks who regularly practice Tai Chi have less falls and better agillity as they age. I would think yoga would bring the same rewards. Be well ya'll!

French Frye, Sorry about Chemo. I know how much you want to move on with this.

Rosie, the new president and prime minister of India are into moving India forward on many fronts This is a quote from the PM's speech

"He said the government would revive 'Brand India', riding on its strengths of five 'T's -- tradition, talent, tourism, trade and technology(emphasis mine) -- and will pursue foreign policy on the basis of "enlightened nationalism" and mutually beneficial relationships."

This link is to an article about another one of his T's Toilets. All I can say is ewhhhhh, and thank you for being able to live in such an advance country.

MOM I have booboos. I swear that stupid right ankle is going to kill me. This is the 8 or 9th head injury b/c of that stupid ankle. Just may, craniotomy area got hit and hurting worse  and neck from thyroid sx is hurting. I don't think I hurt the foobs , but their numb so can't tell.

Uh huh, last time you blamed the dogs. You were racing DBF out to the pool. Can't fool us!!!!

Birks were originally designed in Germany to be a walking shoe. And they do it well. Nobody will ever accuse them of being high fashion!! Love my Birks!!

Hi friends- I found a great line of flip flops that really work with foot problems. They are called Fitflops, and I got my first pair in 2012 when I was having major issues with plantars fasciitis. Then when I went on the AIs, my feet only got worse!

When I was in Denver, I did some shopping at Nordstrom's and found a new black pair in my size I just love! They run around $100 so they are not cheap, but you can also find them on Amazon and older styles are less expensive. They are very pretty on the feet and nice with dresses, etc. And your feet won't hurt after wearing them!

I have a pair of Nike flip flops that actually have some arch support. I wish Danskos weren't so expensive. Some of their sandals are cute. I can't wear Birkenstocks or anything using that last. My middle toe is the longest and my toes are more square. DH wears crocks all the time inside. Fleece lined in the winter.

Ok those photos are scary. We have a homeless guy who decided that he would try dressing in drag to up his take on this one busy corner. It has freaked folks out because it's surely a guy in a summer dress with women's sandals... begging.. facial shadow and wild hair. I wish he would go back to the old homeless guy. We might call this the "Caitlyn effect"?

Rosie, you have a super way with humor. Not sure they're is a word for it. I think it falls under Mark Twain type.

Jazzy, nice pics  of the trip---don't think I said that, Shoe's look structurally similar to Birkenstock. Cute. Thanks for the link. Birks never send my local dealer enough stock.

Chevy you nailed it, must be what they look like. LOL What search terms did you use to find these misfits?

I went to Google Images, and then typed in Walmart shoppers... Ha! Or for the shoes, "Ugly shoes"...

Nah Rosie.... The "Caitlyn" effect is all his own.... I really don't care WHAT that guy does.... At 65 he ought to realize he is what he is.... but if he wants to change his whole life.... DO IT.... but don't try and save the world, and "help" other people who "might" be like you..... Just DO it, and shut up! I don't care WHAT he is, or the rest of the Kartrashians.... It's all for the money and publicity... but he topped them all...

His own show will be coming out next.... because we haven't had enough of them.... I guess. I was GOING to post one of the pictures of him, but I thought that was in bad taste..... Ha! It just gives me the creeps seeing him posing in a nightie with his hairy legs all over the place.....

I guess I'm just too old to think all that stuff is okay..... I feel bad for all his wives and grown kids....He has 6 biological kids.... 10 altogether, including the step-kids....

Also, Theresa just called... she was crying..... The home had a meeting.... Guess old Cecil shot his Son in Law.... in the hand.... And then Cecil supposedly fell on his head, and just now passed away..... She just liked him, because he was Eddies friend, and sat at their table.... And it's kind of soon after Eddie passed away.... I'm going to go see her Thursday..... Don't know if he just "fell" on his head, or if his SIL who he just shot, pushed him.... I'm not going to ask.....

Chevy, twice I talked to Channel 7 news. last week and just now. The channel 7 contact called the police department and the department denied any report of an occurrence. Very strange.
