Is arm pain common?

My sister got diagnosed with stage 2 cancer. However she'd had arm pain for months before the diagnosis and the mastectomy.

Is arm pain, on the same side, common in non-metastatic breast cancer patients?

    I am bumping this up because I had the exact same thing, arthritic like pain in my elbow months before my diagnosis, and I am in 30s. Everyone told me it was likely not related to breast cancer diagnosis, but after seven treatments of Taxol, the pain has disappeared. How is your sister? Did they do any scans?
