GREAT pictures!!!

Ruth, good job. I love your pictures: pictures of warrior women meeting without computers between them. Have a great time everyone.
-
wonderful pictures of the lovely California Dreaming Ladies!!
-
One more for the day. Motown the Musical.

-
Have fun, ladies. I got really jealous when you said "eating Mexican in old town".
Hell week at work trying to meet Monday deadline. I didn't get a lot of exercise except one thirty minute walk and one fifteen minute walk. Yesterday I did have time for some mall shopping so I got plenty of steps at least
-
Ginger, feel for you; hope you are up and about better by mid-week.
Go California Dreaming ladies!
Yoga early this morning and tackling tons housework.
-
Wonderful pix, California ladies. Looks like you are having a blast.
I am in full training mode. Planning to join a 34 mile "recovery ride" in a couple of hours. Yesterday, I drove 100 miles each way to do a charity cancer ride. Not that well attended, and the group running the event really appreciated that I had made the effort. The ride itself kicked my butt, as a lot of small rolling hills. Just what I needed to raise the bar. (I ended up doing 47, not 44 miles, as took a wrong turn, so was the last one in. The slower cyclists did one and not two trips around Mason Lake. I can't believe that I was doing 28 mph on some of the downhills.... Good headwind at the end.)
My body is looking better, and my weight is finally headed in the right direction. Bye, bye muffin top. Even the ladies in the leasing office here noticed.
My goal is 100 miles per week for the next 3 weeks in prep for the BIG RIDE. I don't think I quite managed that last year, and it does make a difference. I will do a 70 mile event in 2 weeks which is perfect timing.

We are getting lots of Urban Exercise wiith all the walking and stair climbing on our tours!
-
Ok so it's only 3.5 miles, but it does gain 1500 feet from my house to the top. I made it up there last night! Thank you taxol for being kind to me.. -
I am loving all the pictures! Enjoy, everyone.
My leg is getting better slowly but surely. For now, I am living (and exercising) vicariously through all of you so keep the pictures coming...
-
Ginger I'm sorry about your slip. I hope you heal up soon.
Claire what beautiful roses and lake. Just gorgeous.
littleblue you are too hard on yourself. 3.5miles during chemo is just great. Hell I couldn't walk around the block.
I mowed my lawn for 70minutes and then walked the dog for 20. It is so steamy hot here. I imagined I was in a tropical jungle, at one with Mother Nature. That made it a little tolerable but I'm glad to be in the AC and headed to a shower.

A fun lunch with the San Diego ladies!

-
Enjoying San Diego with my sculpted sisters😊
Saw my Gyno Friday to discuss recent test results. All were within acceptable range but my endometrial lining is 'mildly proliferative' which it shouldn't be. Bottom line - I'll be having a total hysterectomy late July or early August. While she can't say there's zero chance of a uterine or ovarian cancer she assured me that she really doesn't think that's the problem - thank goodness! I was able to head out to California with a much lighter heart

Balboa Park

Got to lead today's ride as designated ride leader fell into a ditch yesterday. She is fine, but didn't cancel the ride in time. It was fun.
BTW - picture is looking across the Puget Sound so salt water. That said, it is almost the view I remember across Lake Champlain from Burlington VT growing up.
Sore in the obvious part, but can't believe how strong I am right now. I hardly noticed a hill that normally leaves me out of breath. Plus, was doing 13-14 mph into a headwind at the end. I did need to raise myself off the seat, but still had energy to spare. Training rocks!
Three more weekends till the big ride. - Claire
-
Gorgeous pictures, Claire.
littleblue: Nice view from your house! Glad Taxol is kind to you.
Sweet: I was on Tamox for 2 years before switching to Arimidex. I started spotting on Tamox (I was post menopausal), went to Gyno very scared, had the tests, etc., ended up with a total hysterectomy. Good decision and I was glad to get rid of it all.
California Dreaming Girls: Loving all the pictures!
Ruth: If you have time, please post screen names from the San Diego Ladies picture.
Fast walked late this evening. We are in for a couple of hot weeks in the upper 90s. Ugh.
-
California looks beautiful!😀
3.5 mile jog today..
-
We sure did have a great time at lunch today. And you convinced me to join your group. So here goes:
Took my dog, Ginger, for a walk this afternoon. Around the block - 3/4 mile in 17 minutes
-
Back from a combo biz trip and road trip to CO. Got to the gym at the hotel in Denver a couple times, and yesterday I was hiking around the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado!
Back to the gym tomorrow. I have missed it!
-
Glad to see you over here, bonnid. Welcome! Wonderland, I will put names in when I get home. Hard to type on the phone! Here we are at Coronado last night.

-
This is actually why we exercise.

-
Cheryl is an awesome tour guide!

-
Great pics from CA!
DH and DS threw me a surprise birthday party Saturday night. Lots of food, fun, and friends. How many 48-year-olds get a "princess party?" It was awesome! Yes, I am wearing a tiara. When I saw the princess cake, I ran down and dug out my crown from when I was the Snow Queen back in 1985. It was a hoot!

PS: Best birthday gift this year: MRI negative for any additional malignancies! Whew!
Ran 3 miles Saturday and 3.2 on Sunday. Hot and sticky. Wasn't fun.
-
Happy Birthday Meljo what a great birthday surprise. Welcome Bonnid so glad you decided to join us, and see you made the dog happy already

We are having a wonderful time together here in San Diego and as you can see by Ruths picture, you've discovered why we exercise - it's because we really love to eat

-
Happy Birthday Meljo, what a great surprise. You look fantastic.
Great pics Ruth, looks like everyone is having wonderful time!
-
Welcome Bonnid! Glad Ruth talked you into coming over here.
Meljo: You are rocking in your tiara! Happy Birthday!
California Dreaming Ladies: Great pictures! Yum, cheesecake.
Hi Everybody. Just returned from my fast walk. Dh and I wait until the temperature lowers into the low 90s or high 80s. I'm loving all the sunlight so we can walk in the late evening.
-
Ruth,I love seeing the CA pictures! I'm so sorry I'm out of town all week and can't join in on the fun.
I'm in Berlin currently. Had a great run through the Brandenburg Gate this morning, down to the Victory Colonnade and back. Also went for a 3 mile walk after dinner. Sunrise here is 4:30 am and sunset isn't until 9:30 so there is a lot of daylight to take advantage of. It's so cool to be amongst this much history
-
OK our San Diego group is at the lunch were
Ann , CherylHB, Guitar Girl, Marge, A Little Bit British, Bonnid, and me, SoCalLisa
