Insomnia

I have had 2 surgeries in 2 weeks. After my first surgery (lumpectomy/lymph node removal), I had no trouble sleeping. Since my second surgery on Tuesday( wide excision) my body has found little need for sleep. (3 hours a night). Has anyone else experienced this?

girl - Sorry you are having trouble sleeping. It should be a simple thing but for many of us it isn't. I havent slept well for a couple months now. I have started taking 2.5 mg of melatonin before bed. I hope your healing goes well. Take care

So sorry you have to face this...Sleep doesn't come easy some nights....when I was first diagnosed I could only get a few hours a night. I am not a pill person but I took a sleeping pill when I needed to. It got better once chemo was done but like FarmerLucy, I take Melatonin every night and it really helps...hope things start to settle down for you and surgery is done for now...((hugs))) Maureen
