Scared to death ... 7 months ago B9... Not so sure now
Hello Everyone
I'm new here, but I would like to hear your opinions or similar stories. Before telling you my story, I have an appointment with my GP on Monday and one with my surgeon on Wed.
So I'm 25 years old, and about 7 months ago, I went to my GP to show him a bump that appeared on my armpit. He them conducted a clinical breast exam and found 3 lumps that worried him. I went in for an ultrasound and was given a RAID 4 on one of them. Was refered to a surgeon and lump was biopsy (excisional or incisional- the whole thing was removed and surrounding tissue). The results came back a B9 (Fibrocytic changes).
Fast forward to now, I have been feeling some discomfort in excision site for some time, but about two months ago, the pain has become much worse and now I feel many lumps around the area. It just feels different than the other breast and different than before.
I heard it can be scar tissue but why would I have scar tissue forming now 7 months in.
Has anyone experienced this?? Any advice on how to address this with my doctor.
P.S. I was on birth control for about 2 years, have stopped (last two months). Mom says my extreme pain might be associated to the fact that Im off the pill.
Thank you all for listening to me!

My guess is it is either more benign fibrocystic lump or scar tissue. Women with fibrocystic breasts get more lumps off and on all the time.

We want to welcome you to our community here at BCO. We're sorry for the worry that brings you here, but we're glad you've found us!
Like MelissaDallas said, it is likely more fibrocystic lumps, or scar tissue from your biopsy. There is even a condition called fibrocystic breast disease, which causes breast gland tissue build-up or cysts in women who have it. They can be lumpy and sometimes painful, but they are benign. Given your young age, this being anything more than a benign condition is very unlikely.
It's good that you've made appointments to have it checked out though, even if it is benign, staying on top of your breast health is very important! Please keep us posted on how your appointments go, we'll be thinking of you and hoping for benign results!

thanks you very much for responding ... I can not imagine dealing with BC right now... This whole biopsy experience was tough for me emotionally... Everything I feel in my body makes me think about the possibility of cancer ... But I know I have to relax.
Please keep me in your thoughts ... I will update as soon as I know anything ...
P.s. I keep finding lumps all over ... I think I produce them by the dozen! Lo

scar tissue forms gradually over time. Try evening primrose oil and decreasing caffeine to help with the fibrocystic issues.

But is scar tissue painful?
-
Yes, it can be. So is fibrocystic tissue

hello everyone
I want to give you all an update.
I went to my GP and he thinks I have an inflammation of a milk duct. It's a little weird but he thinks it will go down with medication and time.
Regardless I will be seeing my surgeon on Wednesday..
Has anyone heard of such a thing????

went to my surgeon today . He said the lumps feel like cyst and that he doesn't feel anything to worry about. He still decided to get me another ultrasound... Soon I will know what is going on!

just wanted to let you all know that my ultrasound came out clear. Radiologists thinks my pain is due to hormones effecting my tissue

Thank goodness! Keep your eye on it. Women know their bodies.

for sure if pain is not gone by next month ... I'm making sure i get more test done ... But for now I'm going to enjoy this feeling and keep praying for all these brave women and men going through this horrible cancer
