    Thanks ladies.

    Great news Momonana :)

Hope your PET shows good results bama. And healing to you Chris, broken clavicle sounds sore.

I get my chest drain out soon, so hopefully my pain level will improve afterwards. Then hopefully home tomorrow if all is ok :)

Have a great day all (or night I guess, in the States)

Doc said it was basically a remission scan.. Nurse practitioner that came in first said the scan showed all the cancer is dead .. Surgery is next

I'm certainty releaved but I'm not what I would call happy.. I'm still filled with fear and dread.. My babies are babies and I want to see the grow up so this is all very overwhelming

    Hi Ladies,

    First off, great news Peggy!

Bama glad you have good news too, sorry the never-ending uncertainty is causing you grief.

kt, you are in my thoughts- I hope the drain brings relief.

This past month has gone fast....I have managed to ignore this upcoming scan, but now its here! Two more sleeps....please keep me in your thoughts for this liver biopsy on June 5....and then the results for answers to what's going on!

Hugs to everyone else waiting, glad to hear the good news that seems to be in the majority! Awesome- I hope to join you on the other side of this!

    Peggy, love hearing good news!

My PET/CT will be on June 15. I was told I can't have chemo for 2 weeks before the scan so I'll enjoy my little break and just pretend I don't know the reason. Yeah right.

When I saw my doctor yesterday I asked for a scan because it has been a year . He's not too big on scans and would rather look at the blood work results. When I was checking out I asked if he had put in for me to have a  CT scan and he hadn't .The scheduler told me he probably just wanted to wait until after my next visit and I told her no that wasn't the case and I wanted him contacted . I looked on line at my chart today and it's scheduled for the 25th of this month. I specifically told him I wanted to see what my organs and bones are doing and I wanted him to show me step by step, and not just tell me.

    kjones, great news!

Kt, glad you are home and resting.

I had my liver biopsy Friday- what a huge difference from the first one last year! It was easy, relatively painless and they let me eat within a reasonable time after! The radiologist was lovely.

Last year, they had to give me fentanyl for sever shoulder pain, wondered why I was so uncomfortable and wouldn't let me eat or drink until they finally let me go at the end of the day.....and then the results came back negative! He missed the tumour altogether!

That first experience kept me from agreeing to do another one til now.

Fingers crossed that the results help with the tx decisions.

My best to everyone waiting for the scan or waiting on results.

Vision disturbances mean my Onc has sent me for an MRI later today. Last year when I had these vision problems, they discovered half a dozen brain lesions. Praying it's not that again. Results tomorrow morning so at least not long to wait. Nw where's my sofa and red wine in the waiting room...

Bosco: enjoy your wine and TV I will be thinking of you and hoping its something other than the dreaded. Your doctor is being proactive which is good and your not having to wait long for the results is awesome, I have to wait till next week for mine. Please keep us posted as soon as you know

I'm new to posting on this forum.

My treatments are not going well as I was allergic to the Carbo/Gemzar and Halaven showed progression so I am going for a clinical trial. On the 19th CT Scans with biopsies, EKG, and labs on the 22nd. If all goes as planned start the infusion on the 29th. Hoping this does the trick.

My thoughts and prayers for good results for all of you waiting.

Welcome to the group, hope you find answers and comfort from the ladies that post here too. Sorry you had an allergic reaction to the chemo you were on but I think you will find severl ladies on here who have had that happen and will hopefully find you some knowledge to use from their experiences.

Great new, Bosco. I'm wondering what leptomengial mets are...praying that's a negative too!

    Kjones...still stable is awesome!

Modum...your onc sounds like mine. He takes TM's and blood work as signs that things are going well...no scan needed. They've always told the story well...but still, I wonder. Hope to hear good news on the 25th. Glad the biopsy was better!

    Kt...fast healing!!!

Dreid...so sorry to hear you're needing to change tx...but maybe you'll have very good results on the trial...our hope for you!!!!

    Prayers for all good scans...always

May I join? My scan is on Monday. I know the result will not be good as my markers are UP. Just wondering where the damage is.

Good luck to all who are waiting for scans or results.

Hard to believe but just after the good news on brain, my platelets plummeted again to 50 for no apparent reason so more blood tests and probably back to hospital if they continue to fall. More results tomorrow.

And just to cap the week, my son was diagnosed with Epstein Barr virus and has been really unwell in the middle of his final school exams (and I am now being tested for that too). Feel so sorry for him as he had worked really hard.

And finally, the dog has been taken in overnight by the vet with what is thought to be gastro enteritis. Only my husband still standing!

Hope everyone else is doing better!

Bosco, there's too much on your plate right now, praying for your platelets to return to normal as quickly as they plummeted. Your poor son, I hope they can do something to help him, I've known several people who have had Epstein Barr Virus and it is not nice. I hope you're in the clear and that the vet can help your poor dog. My goodness when it rains it pours! Sending healing hugs, Annie

Bosco, I am so sorry that you are having such changes in your PTL after a good scan result. A thought here.....you have been taking pretty significant chemotherapy and your ptl may be reacting...good news...docs can help with that. Your poor son...ugh EBV can be a bear but his doc can help and school has to cut him a break it really does not accurately show his progress this semester......a viral infection really requires a retake.."..whew. Bosco all that to say that Ireally do hope that it all falls into line and it all settles down soon. Hugs, Peggy
