Power of Daily Prayer
I have been thinking of making this suggestion for awhile now and here it goes. If you don't agree or like the idea you do not have to participate. I am a Christian but if you believe in a higher power whether you are Christian or not you can join in. I know that a lot of us pray already so I thought maybe we all can pray together every day for as long as you like but we try and start at the same time. I thought we could follow this schedule for the United States: 10pm est, 9pm cst, 8pm mst, 7pm pst, 6pm ast and 4pm hst. If you are from another country and would like to join in I hope that you don't mind figuring out the time that matches up.
We can pray for all cancer patients/anyone that is ill, for peace in the world and for ourselves or whatever.
"Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed."
Psalms 6:2
I realized after I started this thread that our sister Bon had already started one just like it, here is a link to her thread:

Thank you. I happened to watch the movie Play it Forward about a week ago and I have read FootsPrintAngel's prayers on another thread and well I really think it would be helpful to all of us. Everyone should feel free to post a prayer on this thread also.
-
This is a beautiful idea. I probably won't everpost at 10:00am my time because of work, etc., but know that I'll be joining you in prayer.
-
RosesToeses, 10pm at night I hope that time is better for you.
-
Duh! I should have noticed that part! I wonder how long it would have taken me to notice people only posting about this in the evening!
-
I am in
-
I'll be joining you from the east coast. Great idea.
-
Awesome. I was just on the Catholics thread and there are many wonderful prayers there also. This isn't meant to conflict with anything anyone else is doing but to help establish a daily routine that is all, some of you may have your own daily routine but if you would like to join for an additional prayer that would be wonderful. We can also take intentions too. Love to everyone.
-
MusicLover, this is such a good idea. I am not very good at keeping to strict a daily schedule but when I remember, I will certainly also pray at the same time.
-
Great! If you miss the time that's ok, when you lay your head on your pillow at night you will remember to pray. Prayers tonight for everyone but we'll keep Penny and her family foremost in our thoughts.
-
Please God look after all of us and help us with our worries and pains. Hold our hands and comfort us. Embrace our precious Penny with all of your love for she has been a faithful and loving follower and now is in a great time of need. Please comfort and support her family as they support her.
Good night everyone.
-
Beautifully put, Musiclover, joining you with prayer
-
Praying with all of you tonight. Prayers for all of us and prayers for the researchers working on a cure. Prayers for us to accept our fate whatever it may be and prayers for us to enjoy each day as a gift. Prayers for peace. Love you all. Good night everyone.
-
I pray for all the brave women on these boards who are fighting their own personal battles. I pray for our families' strength and understanding. I pray for all those having tests this upcoming week that you give them comfort and peace while they wait for results. I pray for the good doctors and medical staff who are treating us that they be guided with wisdom and compassion. I especially pray for Penny. Amen.
-
great idea ! Love it. ! I rarely am still awake at 9 pm. Lol. but count me in whenever its evening.
-
dear Heavenly Father. I come to you on behalf of penny and and her family. Oh gracious God please allow penny to be pain free. For her family to have peace surround them and family and friends to help shoulder the load And encourage them spiritually Lord. I thank you dear God for the excellent hospice volunteers and nurses who are not only keeping Penny pain free but are also able to walk her family thru this. I thank you that I had a chance to get to know Penny if even only thru her powerful words on here. Amen

jjski62 and PattyPeppermint, Beautiful posts.
PattyPeppermint, You may not stay up late but you certainly are up early - albeit sending the kids off to school.
-
Prayers to all of us fighting this disease. Lord please lighten our burden and relieve our pain. We ask you Lord to please support Penny and her family at this time. In addition, we pray for peace world wide. Good night everyone.
PS - (I am most comfortable with the traditional prayers of Our Father and Hail Mary and I say them several times a night for all of us. And I am so glad to see others posting their thoughtful prayers on this thread.)
-
I fell asleep before 10 last night. So Ipray now for all of us that we have a pain free day filled with joy, love and laughter.
-
I am not a believer in traditional religion, but I am a believer in our spirituality and that prayer, especially in unison, can make a change.10 pm is way past my bedtime, but I'm sure there will be other early starters or late laggers to round out our force.
-
Prayers to our Heavenly Father that a cure can be found so we can be there to witness all our families' milestones.
-
jjski62, Amen.
I may not be able to post every evening but I will always be praying for all of us.
-
Musiclover - Just came across your thread now. Don't know how I missed it. Anyway, count me in from Quebec. I am not always awake by 10:00 pm but will be joining you all whenever awake at that time. And every night, when my head hits the pillow, I pray.Tonight, I suggest to add to our prayers (amongst others) the wife of MfromAus. He posts regularly on the Husbands of Stage 4 thread. His last post today says doctors said to prepare for end of life for his beloved wife.

Will do. If you'd like to post a prayer that would be great, I would really love to see many of us doing so. Let me know either way and any time that is convenient for you is fine. Thank you.
-
Dear Heavenly Father. I pray for peace for Penny's family. I imagine an incredible celebration in heaven for penny. Thank you God for modern medicine. I pray for healing for each bco sister. I thank you for this day Lord. This day I am able to breathe on my own , walk unattended to give and receive love, thank you. Amen
-
ML - I always pray in French, which is my mother tongue and most comfortable with. But here it goes in English doing my best.Heavenly Father, thank you for another day for which I'm grateful. May you give me, my metsisters and all who suffer from this disease, the courage, the strength and the wisdom to cope with our daily challenges.
Heavenly Father, Archangels, Spiritual Beings of Light, please surround the wife of MfromAus and her family with love, peace, pain free days, comfort and your soothing light in these difficult times. Amen
Linda
-
Patty, Beautiful and a beautiful image of Penny too.
Linda, Thank you for posting a prayer and bringing our attention to MfromAus. I know a little French and I would love for you to post in your mother tongue also in the future, I think that would be beautiful. One of the ideas that I had when I started this thread is that we are joined by this disease despite any of our differences.
Love to you all, I posting early but I will praying at 10pm as usual.
-
Julie, the wife of MfromAus is now an angel.Linda
-
Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this. Prayers for the family of mfromaus.
-
Dear God please look after each and everyone of us and comfort us through these difficult times. Please help our researchers find a cure for all cancers. Lord, please comfort the families who have lost their loved ones and help lighten their burden especially Penny's and mfromaus's families. Please bless all of us.
I am always praying at 10pm no matter where I may be. Good night everyone.
