Anyone on Zyvox for long time?

I've been fighting a nasty infection after my BMX tissue expander placement in December. Dr wants to put me on Zyvox for 3 months. Can anyone share if they have taken this drug for that long? Did you have any side effects? I'm also on Bactrim DS & IV Imipenium. I'll be taking these along with the Zyvox.

    Hi SA8PG... I have also been fighting a nasty infection on and off since my BMX in nov...mine has been pseudomonas...and has been the culprit of my second TE removed from my left side 2 weeks ago...my main antibiotic has been cipro which I finally got off of yesterday after being on it since 4/20...so very frustrating as it seems to hibernate and come back once I have another surgery...this time I plan on waiting 6 mo. to heal before attempting again...nasty bugs seem to become resistant to the only drugs available...hope u have a healthy outcome with this next plan of ur drs.

    thank you so much. These bugs are nasty for sure. My PS said no way could I have another implant placed. It's tissue or nothing. Same thing as you, the bugs like to hibernate and then try to reappear. I've been flat now for 6 months & like you I am gonna wait awhile before I do anymore surgeries.
