TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Good Morning: Oh its so good to hear from so many of you. I crawled out of bed for a minute. Still nursing what has finially been diagnosed at bronchitis. Saw my doctor yesterday. Put me on antbiotics, inhalers, and decongestant. Told me next time quit trying to be a brave person and try nursing this on my own. Says I should feel better in 2 days, and if not I should call him.
So no energy to stay long. Just wanted to say hello. Sounds like we have lots of work to do again here in the circle.
I wish everyone a wonderful day. Going back to bed now.
Nicki -
Oh NS...I am so very sorry. Sending you and your friend along with her husband and family love and prayers. It's so hard to even express what's in my heart when I hear such sad sad news.
Nicki...So hope that your feeling better soon...sending healing thoughts and hugs your way.
Party at Susans house...what fun!
Is anyone getting ready for NS halloween parade...still trying to come up with a costume!
The weather channel seems to be everyones staple lately! It's about all I watch also, along with Gray's Anatomy and I like listening to Paula White and Joyce Meyers for inspiration. I used to watch Extreme Home but it makes me cry every single time...done that enough with bc. Keeping my rose colored glasses on for good measure.
Chilly, foggy morning here but supposed to be another beautiful warm fall day later. The leaves are beautiful this year but are falling fast. Calling for snow in the higher elevations this weekend...darn...hot chocolate and movie time.
Sending hugs and love to all,
Vickie -
Nicki-please get your rest. Bronchitis is nasty and you want to be sure it goes away. Oh, your poor little chest must just ache. I hope you feel better very soon.
NS-prayers for peace to you and friend and family.
Vickie- I realized that I very rarely read or watch the news anymore since my dx. I wonder if this is one of the side effects of BC. Life through rose colored glasses. Previously, I couldn't start my day without my paper and morning news, or end it without the news. Not sure now why it is so unimportant to me. I guess I just want happy things in my life. I know it sounds stupid, but I didn't even hear about what happened to those sweet, little Amish girls until days later. I wonder if this attitude is a healthy attitude for me.
Amy-Thanks for the thoughts. Next time, you go camping take me with you. Haven't been since earlier in the year.
Vera-Nice to hear from you. The fireworks are beautiful. I know that you were looking for a little spark, huh??
Shel-Keep in touch. I know that it is a hard time right now, but we're here for you. I've got a very large shoulder for you. Are you bringing "Mexican Cheese" to Susan's party?
Susan - not sure what I'll bring, but it'll be enough to share with all.
Cheryl, Kristin, Mena, and everyone else in our circle(sorry didn't take notes) - I send you peace and harmony.
Now off to figure out a costume.

Go to doctor tomorrow and am hoping that I'll qualify for this trial and start chemo soon...heck it has only been 2+ months...talk about patience...be careful what you pray for I think it will be a long time before I ask for more patience! Cool crisp morning here and thought I'd make some biscuits and gravy and maybe go get some warm Krispy Kremem donuts for you guys... Stay Strong and have a great day. Lisa

Susan, thank you for sharing your wonderful sense of humor and your costume and don't let anyone who supposedly in jest ask what it is bother you; probably related to a post you made earlier.
Thank you for always coming up with something to lighten up some hard days for the women here. I know I look for your pictures and your post. Looks like you were having a good time - I bet you keep those around you in stitches.
Ladies, you have something special going here. Many still need the inner circle and the encouragement and hugs of their sisters. Nicki, hope you are feeling better soon, Amy, Shel, RobinTn, Mena, Lini, Trenton, Vincent, NS and all the others that I can't remember at the moment, I hope tomorrow is one that brings lots of smiles and sunshine.
Blessings, Brenda -
"and don't let anyone who supposedly in jest ask what it is bother you; probably related to a post you made earlier. "
Has everyone lost their sense of humor? Or do we only have it for those in the clique? Nothing was meant by my post and it wasn't related to any other post on the board. I was just joining in the fun. After all, you claim that ALL are welcome in the circle. If that's not the case and I'm not welcome, then the circle is not welcome to all and is an exclusive club. -
my gosh.......yet another place that has been ruined with "clique" comments.......just waiting on the "posse" reference and it'll all be complete!
how disheartening!
why "debate it" was ever done away with i'll never understand because now it just spills over into everything.
i want to say to you all that i read and absorbed your kind words........they are still carrying me through this hell that i'm living.........up till now this thread was a salvation for many of us who are suffering for whatever reason, now it's just another controversy..........so sad that someone who quotes bible scripture as a tagline would feel the need to create a controversy here as well.
BC sure ain't "pretty" is it? -
So, I take it that I'm not welcome here. Thanks, I just wanted to be clear on whether this wagon circle was for everyone or not. I guess its not.
-
uh oh...no discord amoung the sisters...please. I don't think that Jasmine meant anything bad by her post and I thought it was kind of cute and I loved the costume!
Back to the fun girls...we need each other...all together now...please.
Just wait till you see what I come up with...and you can jest all you want...I think that's the whole idea...laughter amidst the pain and sadness.
Love to ALL
Vickie
Oh...where is Peggy...do we need to send out a posse to round her up? -
Jasmine, I don't really know what the problem is. You, as well as anyone who wants to be, is welcome in my book. I have also wondered if we should start a sequel to this thread because it seems to load slowly, but I didn't realize that would be a hot button. I don't want to lose the support and friendship that I have felt from all of you.
-
Dear Jasmine,
Whatever you are doing, please stop.
Of course you are welcome here. Everyone is welcome here. If someone posts things that are meant to flame or bait or be unkind then there are about 50 other forums here for that sort of thing.
It has been made abundantly clear by a few women that they don't like the Wagon Circle thread. I have a solution- don't read it. Problem solved.
If you want to be a supportive member who genuinely cares about all that is happening to the women here then pull up a log and sit by the fire.
If this is some sort of test to see if this thread can be destroyed because it was the last safe place to come to here on BCO then you might want to rethink it... because we love it here and won't let anything happen- no matter how nasty or baiting anyone tries to be.
can we PLEASE just give it a rest? I know there are problems between members and certain women do not like other women on BCO- but you know what? That doesn't happen here. Because we see the BIG PICTURE in the Circle. And it is about loving, caring and sharing and helping eachother through difficult times.
Want to be here? Then love, care and share and help others out through difficult times.
That is all-
If you DON'T want to be here and just want to cause trouble- then please leave. We don't have room for anger. That is not what the circle is about.
Thank you. -
Hi Jasmine and all,
I just got back to my computer. I have to admit I didn't know what you meant by your remark so I'm glad you explained but as far as you not being a part of the circle you are sooooo wrong. If you look back on the previous page you got your very own star!!! And please notice there are extra stars for anyone else who wants one. As far as I'm concerned you are part of the circle.
I think it is hard to always understand what someone means on these message boards. That's why I put so many smilies all over everything.
So for EVERYONE, if you think someone is sniping at you about something by all means talk to them about it (somewhere else)but please in here be extra funny, gentle and nice. We all need a safe place. Ok, can we do that????
xo
Susan -
Susan, you are so nice to make the wonderful stars. I think you put me on, but may have spelled my name incorrectly. I really don't want to be picky, just want to be sure I have a star. I think you put Cheri, but it's Sheri. If you were talking about another Cheri, could you add me pleas? Thaks.
-
This is not the only thread that takes a long time to load. I have noticed it on about 5 others.
So you would have to have a "Sequel" for just about every thread here.
There is something wrong with the servers.
The beauty of this thread is the length of it because it speaks of the participation and the love of it. The long long chemo threads that span out over years do not require sequels so neither do the posts on here that are taking a bit longer to load while the computers are fixed.
BCO has had computer glitches before and they have fixed them, I am sure that the loading problem will be fixed soon... along with the PM problems and the timing out problems. -
Oops, I just went back and checked again--you didn't mess up, I did. Thank you! You even put both names for me. So sorry! Also, sorry for typos, I left my glasses in the other room and am too lazy to go get them.
-
I'm not the one who got angry NoSurrender. I posted along with the fun of the costumes and was attacked by someone else for my post. Please reread the scenario. It goes as follows: Susan posted her cute costume pic. I posted a fun post in the spirit of the party. Nan posted a nasty remark regarding my post. I responded to said nasty remark that nothing was meant by my post except 'fun'. I will not start a controversy here but I will not back down from one either. If I am welcome here then I should be able to post without having to justify everything I post because someone here chooses to misinterpret it.
-
Off to bed for this circle girl...too tired to move...hot flashes from Vera's "helpers" she sent me! Hoping for all to have a peaceful, sweet dreams filled night tonight. Saying prayers for you all...will fix breakfast in the morning...hows western omelets, homefries, raspberry danish, hot chocolate sound to all...or we could do that as a midnight snack.
Hugs
Vickie
Sheri...I never know where my glasses are!!! Who knows what I miss around here or how many typos I make!!! Need to hang them around my neck! My mom always told me I'd lose my head if it weren't screwed on...lost my boobs instead! (ok...not funny...well, maybe a little!) -
Jasmine, that sounds like you were posting with the intention of this thread, to be a part of the spirit of commeraderie and love. So then let's move forward and not dwell on anything more. As the girls in the inner circle can attest to, life it way too short to sweat the small stuff.
We have so much to be grateful for and so little time to enjoy every minute we have on this precious earth. -
Ok, I owe Jasmine an apology by my remark - I certainly do not want to hurt the warmth of this thread and all that it means to so many. The welcome mat is out to anyone that wants to join and no one here would ever not invite anyone to join. There seems to be many problems with lots of threads when we post but this one especially has problems loosing your post when you try to send it and that shouldn't be related to the length of the thread.
Jasmine, I normally don't have bad days - today is one of them and as I said earlier but I think was overlooked, one in which tears can easily come; one of those days you hurt and it scares you to death. Thanks goodness I don't have them often but today is just one of those days.
I apologize to you and to everyone else that I have offended. I came to this circle early on and don't post so frequently anymore but again, do not want to hurt the nature of this thread.
