Hello,

The GP2 trial results look very promising! I read the legal difficulties holding up a Phase III trial have been resolved. Does anyone have insight into timing for a start to Phase III? I have spent some time online and haven't found anything referring to Phase III. I thought I'd check here before making calls and sending emails..

Thanks!

    Stephmoen,

I finish Herceptin in late August/early September. I hope the timing will be right for me too. I see my MO next Tuesday so I'll see what she knows, and take it from there. I will update this thread with any new developments.

Good luck with chemo. I'm guessing you're in the thick of it..hang in there. I'm 5 months PFC, and 5 weeks post rads. It's been a long, difficult year. Hugs to you!

I finish herceptin in late January, I haven't heard about these trials. Where can I look this up?

I participated in the GP2 am of the Phase II of this trial.  I remember reading somewhere that they would not schedule Phase III until Phase II results were fully reported out, and that would not happen until after Dec. of 2015., but that may not be accurate at this point.  When I enrolled I had to be within 6 months of finishing Herceptin, and there were a limited number of trial locations.  I don't know if they plan to expand locations for Phase III - so be aware that this is not a trial you can do in your own oncologist's office.  Additionally this is a sorted trial - patient are tissue typed (like for transplants - nothing to do with breast cancer) and sorted into either the AE37 arm if they are one tissue type (A2-), and into the GP2 arm if they are the other (A2+). Also, as with many trials - there is no guarantee that you will receive the trial drug.  Here is the Phase II link:
