ER< than 30% pos, HER2neg, What was your oncotype?

Please post if your ER % was less than 30% and you had oncotype done. Did anyone have high oncotype with a 90+ PR%

I am just curious if there is any correlation between the low-mod ER/PR% and oncotype scores. (Triple negatives and HER2+ don't qualify for oncotypes.)

I am going to ask MO to order at first appt. as I am just 25% ER pos and want to see what the other 75% is up to.

I have scoured through back threads and have not seen this question asked. There are plenty of surveys about oncotype but not the ER/PR %.

Hi Pat,

I hesitated to respond because my path report shows ER<50% and PR<10%, but Oncotype returned results of borderline negative ER, and PR negative. And my score was high. So I kinda do - and don't - fit what you were asking for. But there it is.

thank you Nancy. I guess I set the bar kind of low. I appreciate your responding. I was just wondering if those of us on the lower ER % end run higher oncotypes. I think it would be an interesting study.

Hi Pat - I was strongly ER+ on both of my path reports and my Oncotype report said ER - . My Oncotype score was 24 and my ki67 was 40%. My MO said the discrepancy with the ER status is due to different testing methods but assured me that the Tamoxifen studies were done the same way my positive path reports were tested. In order for the Oncotype to be valid one must be ER +. This is my understanding.
