What to expect during TE exchange?

Hi there!

Does anyone have any advice they can give as to what I can expect with my tissue expander exchange for silicone implants?  My surgery is June 8, 2015.  I feel very anxious and so emotional for some reason.  I'm worried about my size, how it's going to look and I certainly hope the implants are more comfortable and realistic than these tissue expanders.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello there, I recently had tissue expander exchange about 2 weeks ago. So happy to get them out! Big difference! Good luck to you!

    Mysunnyday-I know what you are going thru-and yes it is very normal to be on a emotional rollercoaster! You want to be done but the not knowing the final results is scary. Have you consulted with Whippetmom-as to sizes and kinds of implants? She is an expert on BCO! Has helped so many of us! The TE/implant exchange is so much easier than the BMX. Less of everything! And they will be "sculpted" not just left to expand anyway they go. Trust your PS! Have you been on BCO for awhile? Access to the Pic Forum? The sisters have posted so many pics of their progress, gives you an idea of what to expect. Good Luck -keep us posted. Will be thinking of you on the 8th! Char

    Thank you both for posting a reply. I will see my PS this week and will also have my preop appointment. Will be glad to get beyond this and hopefully get back to feeling normal again...if that is even possible.
