diarrhea anyone?

Hi All, I'm starting my 3d week of rads this week and just started getting diarrhea every 3 to 4 hours. Has anyone else had this and could it be a side effect from the radiation? Thanks

    I had it bad from chemo, 8 rx immodium wouldn't stop it. I quit eating, but you must drink lots of fluids.

    Call your RO or PCP, somebody will be on call. Or go to ER. Probably not from rads, maybe a bug. Don't ignore it.

    Thanks, had it all day yesterday every 4 hours, just had it again but it was a 7 hour span, I'll see how long this next span will be. I go to surgeon tomorrow and I see radiologist also tomorrow so I will be sure to inform them both. I am drinking hot tea,water and just had a banana and a piece of toast today! Ugh!!

    My chemo nurses told me to eat Activa yogurt. I had so much of it I STILL can't look at it in the grocery.

    Might want to try a more hard-core pro-biotic from a health food store, like Bio-K (rec'd by my MO)... although, I had diarrhea so bad through my chemo that he had to lower the taxotere dose and I was either in the hospital for a week or two weeks on a continuous IV drip every single cycle (6 of them). AND I took immodium AND rx anti-diarrheals to the max and NONE of it helped. I mean, the IV helped me not die of dehydration, but that's it!

    I'm about to start 7 weeks of rads... Over a month out of chemo and I STILL have diarrhea, so I'm actually not worried that the rads will make it worse, but it doesn't make me happy, either! gah.

    Well after a trip to the e.r we found out I had a bowel infection due to a parasite of some sort. Had nothing to do with any of my treatments. So almost done with my 2 weeks of 2 antibiotics! Ugh
