Will someone please uplift my spirit. ='( I just found a little lump on my upper right breast which feels like beating sometimes but it doesn't hurt that much. What do I doooo I don't wanna ask my mother yet. I'm paranoid and I started crying once I found it. Please I'm sorry but please don't tell me to go to the doctor yet I just need insights. Please tell me what you think this is. Fibroadenoma? =(

At your age it is unlikely that it is anything serious. Make an appointment with your doctor and get it checked. This will help you feel less anxious.

    hi JesusHelpsUs,

I am no doctor but when your lump beats a bit, it might me more like an inflamed node than cancer.

Don't worry, when it does not go away, tell your mom and visit a doctor.

    Regards, Mari

I think a 17 year old who is smart enough to find a breast cancer discussion board is smart enough to find information about normal breast anomalies & know that it is virtually impossible that they have anything but normal hormonal or fibrocystic breasts. 17 year olds don't have breast cancer. 17 year olds quite commonly have benign fibrocystic breasts

Chances are that it could be a cyst or fibroadenoma. I would go see a doctor just for a peace of mind. I found a lump on my breast in my early 20s it was an ultrasound and biopsy confirmed that it was a fibroadenoma. My cousin had many lumps and they would very painful too and were all benign.

tell your mom. She will not want you to be afraid like this. I know, I am a mom. And I echo what the other ladies say. It is highly, highly unlikely that this is cancer, but you won't stop worrying until you see a doctor, right?

Hugs, sweetie. Come back and give us good news that you are fine.

Thank you so much everyone. I'm going to college anyway so we're going to have this medical exam. I'll check by then if I'm alright. Thanks to all! So much. God bless you

It doesn't really feel like a ball. The lump has its limitations when moving. =D

Hello to everyone. Having a few little lumps on my breast isn't really something to worry about at my age right? It's kinda tender. Not too painful. Is my chubbiness a factor too? Will they go away

Hi, If you don't want to talk with your Mom just yet, could you go talk to your school nurse? She would be a great resource.
