Is there any studies about the recurrence rate of HER2+ cancers that have NOT been treated with chemo/Herceptin?

I had bilat mastectomies May 5th for ER+PR+HER2+ stage 1 cancer. My lymph nodes were clear. My Oncologist and all the research I've done agree that I should have chemo/Herceptin, but my family and friends think I have a "choice". I feel like I am constantly having to explain why I should have chemo. I guess I thought that if I had a percentage of untreated HER+ patients, it would be more clear to everyone.

You could show your family episode 2 of the PBS documentary, "Emperor of all Maladies." There's a segment in there which explains why HER2+ cancer is so aggressive and why Herceptin was considered to be such an awesome discovery. I think that after the clinical trials, the pharmaceutical company showed that the HER2+ patients who received Herceptin and chemo did significantly better than the HER2+ patients who used chemo alone.
