I feel lost. I had bc 13 years ago. Mastectomy reconstruction and tamoxifen. I was 38. My mum has had it twice but we don't have the brca gene Just diagnosed in other breast and lymph nodes already involved. They say chemo then surgery again. I am terrified Am usually so matter of fact. Not sure how I managed lst time. My kids are grown up now and. Doing ok. I had such hope last time. Can anyon one hel

    I am so sorry that you are going through all of this all over again. I do not have any specific advice but am praying for peace for you as you go through this.

    It appears you're new to BCO. You have the choice to add information regarding your diagnosis, hormone status, etc. this might help you connect with others with a similar diagnosis or treatment plan.

    Unfortunately, if you start the topic, the profile info does not appear in your initial post. You could edit your first post here and add that info so that it appears. Otherwise - if you add it to your profile and make it public it will appear in your subsequent posts.

    You can search for "neoadjuvant chemotherapy" which is chemo before surgery. You will find others who have had that course.

    I hope this helps a bit. Again, I so sorry you are going through this again.
