Waiting for pathology report

I recently had a mastectomy 1 week ago and am impatiently awaiting pathology results. My surgeon is quite optimistic that the small tumour is encapsulated and that no lymph nodes are affected. Having said that,my GP told me not to lose any sleep over it. The lump feels like nothing. Famous last words. Any advice or words of encouragement?

The waiting is the worst! You are not alone with this. But your GP is correct that worrying doesn't help, so the more you can distract yourself, the better

    Please keep us posted!

My GP was a little premature with his optimistic diagnosis. The moral of the story is that docs should not give their opinion until the test results are in. Agreed?

I went through the same as you nearly two years ago. The wait is definitely the toughest part of the process but try and stay strong and keep positiv
