Anyone had easy implant recon post rads?

i posted on the recon forum but those who have replied did not have rads.......anyone?

    I just had my exchange on May 8 and so far everything is looking good. My BMX was about 1.5 years ago with my expanders totally filled for a year. My radiation finished up in mid-December. I was one of the fortunate in that my skin healed well and looks slightly more tan than the non-radiated side. I got the 410 anatomicals and think they look great. No soreness on the radiated side but on the other side due to work done to tighten and lift to meet the radiated side for symmetry. no complaints

    Thank you, so your expanders were put in before radiation?

    yes, my expanders were put in at time of BMX. I am not sure I would have been able to move forward with implants had I not already has the expanders filled. Mi understand for those situations a lap flap or DIEP is generally needed because the radiated skin can't stretch adequately.
