Starting Glutamine for AC+T?

I have been given the green light to take this to ward off neuropathy. Can anyone tell me how much to take and how to take? I have the powder. I know I was supposed to get powder but I have no clue other than that. Thanks!

I took 30g a day broken down into three servings of 10g dissolved in a cold low acid drink. Don't mix it with food - it will taste chalky. Don't mix it with a hot drink as it denatures it

Same here, I just mix it into a small glass of water 3x a day.

I am a week and a half out from the end of chemo and no neuropathy. So maybe it works!

ugh I wish I'd known! Hey Special K! You recommend the powder, not capsules? What brand do you use? Any advice on hair regrowth? I'm nervous about taxotear

I took it all through taxol and for a month after. Never had neuropathy. I drank it in OJ - not exactly low acid - but it worked (or maybe I wouldn't have had an issue anyway, I guess we never know).

On hair regrowth - I cut mine a lot, went without the wig about 4 months after my last chemo. Had no issues with regrowth. There are some links with photos on the hair, hair, hair thread. I didn't really take a lot of pictures until my hair looked pretty normal. I started taking Biotin at 3 weeks PFC and also used Bosley products, both on the advice of my long-time hairdresser. Some use Nioxin but the ingredients scared me a bit - too many chemicals.

I do exercise, Trvler, although only walking and yoga - not as intense as what I was doing before diagnosis. But I try to go for 3 mile walks especially on the days when I feel the worst. It does seem to help with fatigue at the very least.
