Anybody??? And you gals call yourself OWLETTES???? Waiting for the Norco to kick in so I can fall asleep. Feel like I was hit with baseball bat or something. Sleeping in my recliner because it's less difficult to get up. The daily self care is a challenge. This is a reminder for me not to take anything for granted
Patty, quarantine your DH!!!You can't afford to pick up what he has. Poor guy.
HI1, ouch!!! Ear drops in the eye? Ms. Chevy has great advise about labeling. Hope your moving is coming along and you are not too stress.
MS. BLONDIE, THINKING ABOUT YOU. HOPE DOC CAN HELP YOU WITH YOUR VISION. I AM INSPIRED BY YOUR STRENGTH....GOING WITH YOUR FAMILY FOR THE KOMEM WALK
Dutch, you are done with the frame?
-
Ms. Chevy, I know you will be the first one to chirp. How are your plants doing?
A few seconds after they injected me with the anesthetic, I noticed a change in my hearing ( I knew that I was going to be out soon) and wanted to say good night to my surgical team, but could not utter any words. Then, I thought about Ms. Carol...how frustrating it is for her. Glad to hear that she is going home. Hoping they will continue to help her recover.
Dang I am still awake!! Norco is not working. Ms. Sass, would you share some of your green with me. I will have to chew it though cuz don't know how to takeit the other way.
-
Blondie- I bet it's the morphine. I was on it for days with my big abdominal surgery. It takes away the worst pain but very hard to focus. I am glad they are giving you good pain management.
Yes, George Clooney as Dr. Ross on ER, loved him in that show. He was also an extra on The Facts of Live back in the 1970's.
-
Oh Jazzy, you awake before Ms. Chevy?? How is your breathing? Advair should kick in a few days
-
WOO! Insomnia + steroids + early drive to chemo = on the treadmill at 3:30, yo! Hydrate! Hydrate!
-
KSusan, you our new friend?? Don't believe these people here. They call themselves insomniacs, but they all are sleeping. I don't have insomnia, but I am up. Isn't it ironic? I think Jazzy is up but she is busy with something else.
-
Loveroflife-I fell asleep early, and woke up early! Let the day begin!
Breathing is getting better. I have had a couple treatments already. Do you have asthma too? Normally I have few problems with mine, especially living out here in the desert. But it is all the rain and humidity. As I like to say rain is good for the earth and my skin, but the humidity brings on the asthma.
-
Awake, but I have been a bit busy catching up on a few things!
-
There she is! Better type fast on this iPhone b4 someone takes the spot.
Jazzy, I don't have asthma. I would get a panic attack. My older daughter has exercise induced asthma and hubby had it when he was young.I also have a few friends whose kids have bad asthma. Glad to hear you are breathing better
-
Mommy!!! Cleaning and organizing??
-
Okay, I'm HERE! What choo guys doing all bright eyed and bushy-tailed this morning?
And so Sass wants us to believe it is her WHATever, and not her typing!!! Hah! I don't get spell-check when I log in with AOL, BUT I do pretty damn good for an old person, right? You just have to show it who's boss.... Don't let that thing control YOU missy! What's so hard about proof-reading, I ask? Cammi and Sass didn't tie their little star around any spelling angel, did they? But it's okay.... I'll be polite for the duration of this post... maybe.
Yes, a desk-top for Sass... And candy cigarettes for Spookie.... What ELSE can I do this morning?
My Grandpa used to roll his own... Okay, picture this... Grandpa sitting in his rocker by the window... with a big tin pan across his lap, the 9X12 one like the cake pan.... and IN it, is his rolling papers, with that guy on the front of that orange little packet, and his Red Velvet tobacco... He could roll a mean cigarette.... And his little glass of whiskey on his stand. So he would light those things, and lit embers falling down on his freshly ironed shirt. Burning holes in it all the way down to his lap. The tray was so he wouldn't catch his pants on fire. We bought him tobacco for Christmas!
I LOVED to smoke... But me and my girlfriend would smoke in her room, when we had a slumber party, and then hide the ashtray under the bed when we were done... like her Mom never KNEW.... Hah! We would smoke those "Spud" cigarettes, because they were the cheapest.
And we would play CRY, by Johnny Ray, and sing to that song at the top of our lungs! And THEN, (get this) if my Brother was also over there, we would walk to the nearby golf-course at night... me, her, my brother and HER brother, and sit on those benches and make-out under a tree... Hah! That was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun! Even more fun than smoking! But I was just a kid... and chicken of everything.
No smoking that happy-weed... no nothin'..... I don't think they even HAD it in those days... But I knew they did in High School... I figured my BROTHER did... but I was too chicken... I know my Daughter's did.... those Brats! But they were older... One in college, and the other one with her riff-raff boyfriend!
So okay.... you guys go behave.... (Hah!)

This morning's sunrise. Not my pic, but off the local TV station web page. I took a photo from my home but this one is so much better.
Nice to wake early so I could see this!

-
So Sass!!!
What part of FL? My husband travels for work - he was working in. Las VVegas from 2013-2014, and this year in Wesley Chapel / Lutz area. We reside in St Louis but I have been snow-birding with him and touring in FL - very familiar now with Hudson, Port Richey, Tarpon Springs, Dunedin - Honeymoon Island, Clearwater, St Pete went all the way to Tiera Verde one day. What else should we see?
-
Loverly- whew woman what did they give you to have you so wide eyed and bushy tailed? I hope they gave you something to be comfy. I always feel odd after anesthesia. Heal up. Patty stay clear of the stomach crud.. that's the last thing you need. Sympathies to your DH.
I got up at 5am and laid there for an hour then got up. Major pet/dog routine here in the morning. Everybody is fed. Vet and dentist visits today. Busy.. gardening and trash to be put out.
Be well. -
Good morning again.

-
They gave me PAIN, Rose. I was trying to distract myself from the pain by chatting to nobody until Jazzy came along. Woke up at 1am and finally fell back asleep at 4am. Missed the sunrise.
My late Uncle smoked like a chimney. I remember the wall in his room was stained yellow. I took one of his cigarette to try thinking that it must tasted good for him to smoke so much. Yuck!! How do youstart smoking??
-
Sas is on the east coast, I'm in Dunedin. Want to do coffee? Send a pm.
-
hey lovely, how was sleeping? Do you have pillows, all sizes? I still have to sleep with a small pillow I clutch to my chest. I feel like a little kid with their blankie! Hope the pain meds kick in.
Patty, STAY AWAY from DH. Hope you have someone who can come in and help. I hear the stomach bug that's going around is really nasty.
Zazzygirl, love your sunrise. I was awake at 5:30 and finally got up at 6:30. Suppose to have some rain this afternoon, maybe. Most of it is heading for S CA.
Ok, got to get dressed and moving
-
Ok this new Vet is a keeper! We transferred over to a new practice because as much as I loved our old vets they were walk in only, no appointments. You could waste all day. My 10 year old border collie usually gets very upset at the vets, pants and has to be muzzled. She is the sweetest kid proof dog, but not at the vets. Well this Vet comes in and sits on the floor next to her, rubs her neck, pets her -greets first. He gave her buscuits and she NEVER takes them and eats them - this time she did. He gave her all her vaccines, checked her joints, tummy, listened heart/lungs and she was fine. Vet care at her level right on the floor! I was thrilled. Tess did great and the prices are great. That's a relief!
Loverly- Smarty is right lots of pillows or couch cushions. I stayed up in my recliner easier to get out of and kept me from rolling. I just thought it was funny how wide awake you were! Distractions are good. I hope the pain is better, every day will be better. I agree with you on the smoking, can't stand it now.
-
wow, chatty ladies this morning...
Loveoflife, I hope the pain pills do there job. Take it easy. This is from someone that really struggles to take that advice.
Rose, you also, you are a busy one, taking care of kids, dogs, cabins....whew !
CHEVY, you love us cause we misbehave.....once in awhile.....
Sas, love the IPAD. DH surprised me with it the day after my lumpectomy. My laptop had crashed. I, at the time, only used a computer at work. I was too busy then, on my off time. Now, my off time, is all the time. I do miss working, the structure & energy it forces. Life changes.....
Hello to all, we have not heard from Susan or Tang. Hope they check in.
-
bunch of friends went to one of those painting parties. Lots of laughs...no artist in there .Hope you are all doing well. Protect yourself Patty.
I am out of pjs but not out of bed yet. Lazy butt today.
Hope your eyes get better blondiex
Loveroflife hope you are feeling better soon
Hey mommara
-
Hi MammaRay, you snuck in. Pop in when you can. Hope you are feeling decent.
I do not think I commented on your fundraising thing. We're you able to put that on hold?
-
MammaRay- good to see you here. Prideful and ungrateful? People don't get that we don't want to be anyone's charity story. It is fine for people to offer, but they should also be okay with someone saying "this is not what I need." I am proud of you for staying strong with what works for you. Hope your family is doing okay too?
-
what Jazzy said!!!!!
-
Jazzy, always says it best!
-
Hubby is home today, not feeling too good. He already promised me that he's going to get things done around the house to help me out.
-
MammaRay, a get together with BCO ladies?
Where's Chevy? Are you dumpster diving again? Sheesh, can't take the feral out of her....
Better check in, we count on YA.....
Susan, great photo, looks like fun...
-
The snow melted at Chevys house, so she got on the pole to practice. Then she went stomping around in THOSE shoes, and either got lost or fell off those heels.
-
Wait, Spookie! I think I found her!

-
YEP!!! That's her!!!!!
