Let's Post our Daily Exercise

Yesterday was a relatively lazy day for me, just a 23 minute walk, because I celebrated mother's day with my mom yesterday. Today it is supposed to rain so I may not get any exercise in today either. Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely mothers here!
Hopeful I hope your results come soon and give you good news.
My son had that stomach flu too and it was kind of hard to get rid of. Take care to those ladies that have it.
-
Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there! Thanks for your sacrifices to raise the next generation.
Gift bags are all ready. Made coconut macaroons, snickerdoodles, rum balls, and choc chip. Added a little pot of a lovely lemon balm moisture cream, some Dove chocolates, and a small bag of fresh cheese curds. This is Wisconsin after all LOL.
Did my 2.5 mile route this morning and may take a constitutional after brunch to walk off that meal.
-
Thanks for all the good wishes; your understanding and support means a lot. We got out and did a few errands together yesterday, then I did 50 minutes on the stationary bike with intervals for about 30 minutes of that. Spent some time doing single-handed weeding in the garden. I'm doing the lowest level of the post-surgical exercises without any pull or problems and expect to be told at tomorrow's appointment that I can move on to the rest of them. Happy Mother's Day to those celebrating today.

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers.
Hope sounds like your recovery is going well. Wishing the same good news for your pathology report.
Dunes, I am find that a good rest day is needed and good.
Hoping all those that were under the weather are feeling better

Just had to share pictures from my ride yesterday. Only slightly sore which means I am a lot fitter than I thought I was. Just magical scenery. - Claire
Starting out. The Skagit Valley is extremely fertile, with drainage ditches everywhere to keep the land from being underwater much of the year. Cascade Mountains in the distance.
We were cycling around Chuckanut Mountain in the distance. Met a group of hikers who told us we were "crazy"!A bevy of young beauties. In a couple of years, I will be feasting on butter from the rich milk they produce. Eden Glen Creamery.
View from the top of Chucknut Drive across Samish Bay to the San Juan Islands.
On the way back. Potato fields with Mount Baker in the distance. Because of the climate, they are able to dig part of the crop in the fall and the rest in February. So we have "new potatoes" in the spring. The best Yukon Gold potatoes ever!
Finally, looking westward to the San Juan Islands towards the end of the ride. Only about 10 more miles to go!!! (Out of 64 miles total.) Mud flats at low tide which is why some of the most amazing seafood ever. Such a rich area: seafood, dairy products. root vegetables and potatoes, and amazing berries. Not to mention that cycling is encouraged. Tulips are about 10 miles south of where this shot was taken.

Welcome Freygea. Lovely pictures Claire, the ride sounds lovely. Badger give my best to your Mom and what are cheese curds? TH those gardens are gorgeous, what a lovely place to walk. Hopeful slow and steady wins the race. Kat glad you are feeling better. LB thinking of you and hoping your training is going well. Ginger enjoy NC, how nice to get to spend Mothers Day with your daughter. Jazzy I am a fast eater too I try and slow down but it doesn't seem to work. Went to a baby shower yesterday and had tons of fun, but also ate too many cupcakes

Yesterday I did Body Combat and today did Body Pump.
-
Well, this is how we celebrate Mothers Day in North Dakota. Yes, that is SNOW on the ground!

-
Cheryl and all, I passed! What a couple of days-wow! Sixteen hours of training and still standing. Eduardo is known on this side of the world too! I'll come back later and read yet for now I need to chill. Thanks you (((Everyone))) for you kind support. Twas a learning curve and pleased to have passed.
Happy Mother's Day to all!
-
Woohoooooooooooooo LB congratulations, I knew you could do it, now for the assessment video (or do you do that over there) too funny about Eduardo as an aside yesterday was Jericho's baby shower and I reconnected with a girl who has been his assistant on Combat trainings, she is from San Diego and I told her of California Dreaming II as she told me she teaches near where we are going to be hmmmmmm Ruth wanna "fight" in a class as opposed to your basement??????
-
Geez, I don't know. I can cheat on the moves in my basement!

CONGRATULATIONS, Lilac!!!!!

-
Congratulations, Lilac Blue!!! Well done! Claire, enjoyed the photos. Ruth, CANNOT believe you have snow again. Lilac tree, good luck ( and so much more) tomorrow.
-
Did a 14 mile walk with hills on Saturday as part of my training for Yorkshire Three peaks. Here's a picture of me with my fellow walkers. I am the one with the teddy bear hat lol

-
Well done Sandie and LilacBlue!!! I just got in from another 23 miles of really easy cycling. So 100+ miles since Friday at this time. Feel back on track with my training.
I also cleaned up my deck and planted new flowers. Finally pruned my lavender. Hope it lives, but had to do something.
Next week is the Canyon Ride plus vineyard camping. I need to take in the waist of my new cycling shorts. They were a bit roomier than I thought because one size larger. But they were affordable, and I am able to sit down after cycling 100+ miles. Adjusting the waistband is minor. One other thing. Most shorts rub your legs raw as meant to be worn with leg warmers. These don't.
Everyone here is complaining about the HEAT!!! Now, I don't find 75F with a nice breeze particularly hot. Add 20 degrees, no breeze, and humid and I would agree (summer in NYC is the pits). Not to worry....will be back in the 50s and 60s for the remainder of the week.
I just got the most gorgeous bouquet from the Asian girls selling flowers at the foot of the hill. Irises and peonies...$10. So a great day all around. - Claire
-
Congratulations, Lilac! 16 hours--whew!
Also, Claire and Sandie--way to go! That's a long ways. Claire--thanks sharing your gorgeous photos.
Ruth--trade ya that snow for 90 degrees.
Charity work tomorrow for Feed the Hungry--have to get up early to do my walk.
-
Congrats Lilacblue!!! Way to go . Great pictures Claire. Gorgeous scenery for your ride. Snow in May Ruth? And here I enjoyed a break from yard work sitting by the pool today.
Worked out in the yard pulling weeds and getting ready to plant my vegetable garden today.
-
Neat pictures Claire & sandie!
Did the treadmill & a pilates DVD. No katcar I don't want to trade, I don't like hot either....maybe if we could compromise somewhere in the middle....like the 60-80 degree range! I am subbing again tomorrow & the crummy weather should make the kids more mellow anyway.
-
CONGRATULATIONS LB!!!
Claire: Thank-you so much for posting your gorgeous pictures. Beautiful!
Ruth: Snow?!?!?!
Sandi: Love where you get to walk!
Hopeful: Sounds like your recovery is going smoothly (unlike your day at the hospital for your surgery). Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.
Ginger: Congratulations on your dd getting into graduate school at UNC and glad that you are feeling better! My ds graduated from UNC and still lives in Chapel Hill. He loves it!
katcar: Hope you are feeling better.
Badger: My car in covered in yellow pollen!
Hi All! Took today off. On Friday I worked in the yard for an hour and a half plus walked/ran. Yesterday I ran errands and walked/ran.
-
Lilac, congrats! Sandie, awesome picture and way to rack up the miles!
Just a walk on the treadmill and some walking while shopping for me today, but at least I hit my steps goal.

-
5/10- lots of yard work today and also a trip to the gym for an hour of resistance training.
I hope everyone here had a nice Mothers Day.
-
Thanks a lot, Wonderland. The emotional aspect of recovery is a LOT more challenging than the physical, for me at least. Sounds like you got a lot done this weekend, glad you gave yourself today off.
-
WTG LB, congrats!! Great pix Claire & Sandie!
Cheryl, cheese curds are formed during the cheese-making process. They can be packed into molds and turned into cheese, or sold as delicious little nuggets that can be eaten fresh or deep-fried. Around here, we can usually find fresh cheese curds from a local producer on Fridays.
Remember Little Miss Muffet who sat on a tuffet, eating her curds & whey? Those were cheese curds!
Brunch was great and so was the nap I took when I got home. Did get in a 20-min walk before it rained.
-
Congratulations, Lilac Blue, you should be proud of your hard work!
Wonderland- we have been walking around Chapel Hill and Carrboro; it seems like a great place. I think as soon as she settles in and meets some friends, she will be very happy here.
I am feeling all better and we are flying(thank goodness we are not driving back) home tomorrow evening.
-
Taking the day off from doing any excercise today.
-
5/10: 40 minutes on the treadmill and a delious brunch! Does lifting the fork and walking back and forth from the buffet table count..LoL.
-
Congrats LilacBlue! Always nice to see hard work rewarded.

Saturday I biked 9 miles and walked 2 plus the usual upper body weights.
Yesterday I honored my mom by running six miles in her shoes. I have her last pair of Asics and I only break them out for special runs because I want them to last a long time. The weather was crappy, but I always run motivated in her shoes!
DH ordered me a Fitbit Charge HR for Mother's Day. Should be here Wednesday. Can't wait. He is a little worried though. He shared an article with me about a gal who said the Fitbit ruined her life. Ha! A bit dramatic, but I guess she became completely obsessed with checking the app and never felt like she was keeping up with her more fit friends. DH knows what an addictive, competitive, and obsessive personality I have so his concern might be warranted. LOL! Going to give it a try though. Stay tuned...
-
meljo: love your treatment of your mother's shoes.
Ginger: hope your dd is getting settled into her new place.
M0m: enjoy your rest day!
lady: I'm envious of your exercise today. Yum!
A few weeks ago some of you fantastic ladies were saying you received scammed calls supposedly from Microsoft telling you that your computer was infected. I got a call today and did what Cheryl (I think it was Cheryl) said to do. I "freaked" out about my computer being infected and the lady hung up on me! Hee Hee Hee
Walked/ran tonight. Lots of sweat.
-
Subbed and Zumba.
Neat about your mom's shoes, meljo......My mom was a great cook so I get out her recipes just to see her handwriting & notes "makes scads of bars", "add more cinnamon" etc.
-
Hi all, still around and finally getting back to normal (whatever that might be!). I am happily homeless and looking forward to my last 4 weeks working before retirement. Then CA followed by road trip with my sister. Walked yesterday and tonight and since I'm now in a tiny studio with no cable, I have no reason to not move about. Need to lose the, probably, 5 lbs I'm sure I've gained in the last few weeks. Can't know for sure since I don't have a scale.
Haven't gone back over the 8 pages I'm behind so praying all is going relatively well for all. Will try and keep up but not promising!
Night sculpted friends.
-
Ladyb, love your version of exercise.. . Wonderland, you cracked me up! Going with crazy can remedy some of those encounters and is hilarious in the process.
My exercise today was bootcamp. My bootcamp group is participating in a color run on Sunday which should be lots of fun as,long as it doesn't rain. Fingers crossed that any showers hold off until late morning.
Sweet dreams all.
-
I was in a sentimental mood and digging through old pictures this weekend. Here is one of my mom and me sharing a laugh....exercising our funny bones!

* Yes, I have always had a camera close at hand!
