Chemo Brain - Radiation Brain?

Read a post this morning on breastcancer.org Facebook page about memory loss during and after chemotherapy.  My mother had radiation therapy 1 1/2 years ago for in situ DCIS and my father and I have noticed memory slips since starting and ending radiation.  Anyone else experience this?

Everything that happens after chemo/rads is not always caused by either of them. With time passing, there are issues that would have developed with or without BC TX. Many that have never done Chemo or rads do developed memory issues.

I understand there may be other underlying causes for memory loss, however I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this after radiation, not chemo.  Thank you for your thoughts and God Bless

Someone who had cranial radiation for brain mets might have cognitive problems from the radiation but any type of radiation for DCIS would not be any place close to the brain
