Hi1 - which big city are you in ? Well hope you enjoy your visit wherever you are
Mommy 2 - glad you are recovering
Chevy - you are such a dear friend. Your friends are lucky to have you.
Jazzy - love the 80 year old mans advice. I agree !
Mel - what a cool find - your birth certificate and all of your old schoolwork , etc. Congrats to your dd1 and you for college grad Friday. Are you having a big party afterwards ?
SAS - hello and hugs
I had a great weekend. Have felt better than I have in almost 2 years. It's super hard not to overdo it. Of course , we women , want to go from 0 to 1000 the first minute we start to do well. I am trying hard not to do that this time. A little at a time still gets stuff done and I am not wiped out.
Hope everyone has a great pain free day. Hugs all around
Hootie hoo

Love it Jazzy! Huge Star Wars freak here! Always wanted a Wookie of my own to be my protector!
-
Patty- so glad to hear you are feeling well. To say this is the best you have felt in 2 years and with all you have gone through recently is HUGE! Glad to hear it!
Mommy- I heard them saying this on the news this morning and then saw that on FB and thought it was cute!
Hope everyone is having a good day. Just got my car back from the mechanic for the third time around a transmission leak. This last time I told them "you are fixing this next one for free!" I watched as five men stood looking under my car telling me there was no leak and said "keep looking" and then someone found it. I thought all five of them were going to cry. Men hate to be wrong around anything with cars, especially when a woman is involved. Watching them eat crow was almost worth it. Almost. Fingers crossed things stay "dry" under there. I will be watching.....
-
Don't you love it when that happens!!!! That's one of the reasons I liked buying my cars from Saturn. They didn't talk down to me, acknowledged I had a brain!! I bought 3, DD still has hers.
-
Registered for an online class today just for fun.
-
Spookie- unfortunately, these people are the only ones in town (dealer) that can fix this car. They used to be really good, but they have NOT been good the past few years and sat down with the manager of service and told him as much. They finally got a new service guy who seems to know what he is doing and worked hard to make this right for me. I don't have this problem with my other car (primary vehicle).
The good news is I went an peaked outside under the car and it DRY! I love this little convertible and want to keep it, but you know as time goes on, we have to decide if things are worth it.
Mommy- what class are you taking on line?
-
Wrenn - very clever idea to use the film so the birds wouldn't be scared of the cats! I must say, it seemed to work like a charm today...DH works from home and he said the dogs didn't even bark when the garbage men came through the neighborhood! They also didn't bark when I came home until I opened the garage door...usually I can see them through the window and can hear lots of barking from the time I get in the driveway until I get in the house. Our next plan is to put a barrier up along the fence on one side of the yard where the neighbor has two dogs. Our dogs are getting better and better at coming away from the fence when, but there are still times when they get so engaged with the neighbor dogs that it is hard to get their attention to bring them away from the fence. My right shoulder has been hurting me a lot and Saturday when I had to catch my chugg as she was running along the fence line it pulled my shoulder. I told DH he is going to have to be on dog catching duty because I just can't do it!
Patty - thanks for the congrats on the graduation!! We are not having a big party since DD isn't coming home right after graduation and she actually has not kept up with anyone from HS where we live now (we only moved here when she started HS). My parents are traveling to the graduation, too, so we will do some celebrating in Wilmington by going out to eat and DD wants to have some pictures taken at the beach in her cap and gown. We're hoping for nice weather! It was definitely very cool to find my birth certificate and I read one of my poems to my DD2 today. I will share with you ladies...these were written by a 10 year old me:
1. Boys, boys, Yech! Yech! Boys are muck, muck! (probably meant "yuck" and spelled it wrong)
2. Ouh! Ouh! Boys are glue!
3. Gunk! Gunk! Boys are junk!
I was mad at the boys in school...can you tell??? LOL!!!
Jazzy - when my transmission fluid was changed a few years back it caused it to leak afterwards and I had to go back a second time. When I had my oil changed recently they said I needed to have the transmission serviced because it hadn't been done before. I thought it had since I remembered the leak..sure enough, their mistake, it had been done. Glad I didn't tell them to go ahead and do it while I was there for the oil change since it doesn't need it yet. Am getting some coolant stuff done and hoping it will go well. Hey - you can borrow some of my poems if you want and say them about the guys at your service station!!
Mommy - sounds like your cat is messing with you like my dog is messing with me!! Hang in there!! Have fun with your online class!
-
hi, on kindle, tuck and muck. Hp back to manufacturer.
DS does his first oral argument before Florida second district court of appeals tomorrow. I get to watch on line video streaming. Cool.
-
Mel- I will borrow #3! Those poems are great!
-
I am so ticked off right now. When I leave a message for my doctor, I want that message sent to the doctor and some strange twist of my message. Now I believe I have just had unnecessary labwork and still won't have an answer. I guess I will have to write things out and hand deliver it. Grrr.
-
SAS - proud mama Indeed
Jazzy - glad you set the mech straight and more importantly got the leak fixed. Go girls !
Mel - love your poems. Funny how boys were gross back then. Hope y'all enjoy dd1 celebrating w/dinner. Most people want to go hang and celebrate with their class mates right ?
-
Patty, it's so uplifting to hear you are feeling much better. And on top of that, Rose had a wonderful day at pinic with the family.
Ms. Chevy, Ms. Carol sounds like a feisty woman and I hope this feistiness will help her fight her battle.
Mel, the poem is so cute. Priceless to have stuffs from grade school to go through. My daughter broke out in hives today. Not sure if it's the stress from AP chem test today or the melons she ate yesterday. Poor child was complaining she was so itchy during the exam.
Mommy, OUCH !!! Your Princess is one naughty child or is it clumsy mom?
HI1, I lost several long posts or PM a few times...very frustrating because I forgot what I wrote
-
thanks sas
Chevy, you're a good friend

Blondiex...hugs
Patty p, hope you are doing better
Hi to everyone else

Gotta put my big girl pants on and get my mind energy back so I can kick their butts. Wish me luck....actually I will prob watch my hubby fight them, but still wear my big girl pants...lol
Sleep well all
-
Ms Sas, how exciting!!
-
Hi susan, good 4 u
-
In the case of me against the door while chasing my little girl, its her fault, she's a fast bugger!
The online class I'm taking is called Great Books, its kind of like an English class. Wish they had Math classes online where I could do them at home, but sadly they don't
-
Morning gals! My little friend "Lesa" came to spend the day with me! I used to baby-sit her, and then she would walk to grade-school with my 2 Daughters... Kept in touch... Now married with 2 grown children... Her Mom and her just don't .... I mean her Mom doesn't want to have anything to do with her or her family... She started taking drugs, when she worked at the Hospital... Did it's damage big time... Only cares about herself, and her monitored life at a group home...
Lesa just remembers having fun, playing with our girls, and her slumber parties at our house..... LAUGHING and giggling the whole NIGHT!

But we talk about EVERYthing, and she laughs and teases me, and I give it right back to HER! Hah! We walked up to Starbucks, and around old Elitch's, and remembered when it used to be an Amusement Park, and not a "neighborhood"....
Sooooooo glad she wants to be a part of my life still!
-
-
Sass, this is the live feed of the Florida Court of appeals.
http://www.2dca.org/OralArgumentCalendar/lakeland_oa.shtml Your Son isn't on yet....
-
SAS - Aka. Proud mama. I can see the video of a lady atty but no volume. Can you hear it ?
Susan - wishing you good luck to kick the insurances butt. My bug girl panties are torn and wearing thin but they still work. Lol. Go get em.
Chevy - wow ehat a difference you must have made in lesa's life. How cool. Well done
Blondie. - hugs
-
Chevy you have sown seeds of kidness and love all your life haven't you! Looks like you reap the crop sown that's why Lesa comes back. Applause for you! Yay Sass on your DS's accomplishments, makes all that hard work child rearing/ college support worth it doesn't it?
Susan hope you get the insurance machine to cough up what you need. Are they being butt heads because of hitting a life cap? I have heard of that happening but never had it happen to me personally. We have asked for review and mediation and won those appeals so far anyway. PIA though!
Patty glad you are feeling better. (((Hugs))) Blondie and anyone else who needs one.
We had a lovely day at a gorgeous Rododenderon Gaden yesterday. I mean there were waterfalls, baby geese and tiny ducklings, herons a beaver.. wow Then acres of gorgeous colorful rhodies some 2 stories tall. I took so many pictures. If I can organize them into a file I will try to show some. It was a splendid day.. sunny and warm, cool in the shade. Perfect. Any day spent in a garden is perfect in my opinion! Cheers all!
-
Peppermint... check to make sure your sound is on, AND that the site has the sound on....The two gals arguing that divorce/alimony case were really interesting.... 2 guys have been on.... don't know what her Son looks like... Sounds like a compensation case.....
-
Blondie- I hear you expect a fellow BCO sister visitor today. Hope all goes well and you can get some much needed food!
-
Last night's big storm.

-
Morning all,
CHEVY, Jazzy said it well, you are a happy, loving, supportive women. We all wish we could walk to Startbucks with you, giggle & enjoy the moment.

Those little girls are adorable. I love native dance costumes & hats.

Ok, this last photo I stole from 4sewwhat, on the booze thread. I could not resist. For those of you that do not "know" 4, she is a "tart". Hung out with our senior members too long. he......he....
-
Hol- that last photo, LOL! There is a booze thread?
-
Oh so hAppy for DS. His presentation time went very well. His case was defending DCF. The appellant(suitor) complaint was DCF HAD A DUTY TO ACT. After a complaint was made and investigation was done and closed.
The court has time till they issue their opinion.
If they find for the appellant based on the elements of the case, it would effectively prevent closure of any case.
THANKs to all that listened. They ran about fourty minutes behind.. the video and audio had trouble. I could only get audio. Typing on kindle pita.
What fun!

DS graduation 2010.

Congrats Sassy! You are one proud mamma bear!
