I was just diagnosed 10 days ago, got my shiny new port and first round of chemo last week. I am a "triple negative" which scares me. I have two suspicious nodes they are going to biopsy tomorrow for radiation purposes after chemo. Getting my sea legs, but still just a scared young mother of two!

Hi Amy - I'm sorry you've been diagnosed with BC. It sucks and it is scary in the beginning. Sounds like you are getting good care and a plan is in place. It will get better. I did chemo and although I hope I never have to do it again it wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be. I think I was more scared of the chemo ( in the beginning before I started) than I was of the cancer. Hang in there - you'll find lots of supportive women here. I just ran into a friend of mine at the grocery store. She was diagnosed with triple negative 8 years ago. She is doing great!!

    Hugs

    Nancy

Thank you so much! I'm glad I was sent to this site and glad to hear there are long term triple negative survivors!

    Hi Amy,

I am triple negative also, stage 2, dx nearly three years ago. as a TNBC told me when I was starting, the next year will suck, but you will get through it. Try not to compare yourself to other people...experiences can vary quite a bit.

I was 44 when diagnosed, just turned 47

    Best wishes for you.
