Help Prevent UTI's, Please Shower, Don't Bathe!

I have noticed a lot of bladder infections being reported on the chemo threads. UGH! Chemo is bad enough without a UTI. I also read that many are posting bathing rituals with different bath salts. While they are so soothing, I believe they might be contributing to the large number of UTIs.
I gave up bathing for showers years ago on the recommendation of a Urologist. Maybe, while immune systems are compromised, the soaking tubs should be avoided. Does anyone else see a connection?

I much prefer 'tubbies' and have not had any UTI's during or since chemo. Actually I can only remember 3 UTI's in my life. I do not use 'smell pretties' in the water so that might make a difference. Also, since chemo
