I am about to be 5 years on Tomoxifen this summer. However I started to have pelvic pain back in 2012 and it went away. I had check up back then, nothing found. However the pain came back about 3 weeks ago and more intense. I'm worried and tried to see a gynecologist. They are like a month waiting at UCSF. Any other suggestions? Do you have similar symptom? Does this mean Endometrial Cancer?

Thanks

The risk of endometrial cancer because of Tamoxifen is extremely low. Just a couple of percentage points. There are lots of benign things that can give you pelvic pain though.

cl00 - Do you still have your ovaries? Have you ever felt the pain from an ovarian cyst? For me it would be really painful for an hour or so once a month, then it would go away.

Usually when I get really crampy it means my lining has built up pretty thick. I also grow polyps on Tamoxifen, which have to be removed surgically. When I get the polyps removed, a D&C is also done thinning out my lining. Then all's good for awhile. On a every 6months-1year ultrasound, it showed a 4+cm cyst, adding to my discomfort. Not everyone gets ultrasounds....

If you can't get into to see a GYN, can you PCP order an ultrasound for you? Or maybe check with a GYN on your behalf. Get you in sooner? It's probably not endometrial cancer but it is uncomfortable. You deserve answers or at least to know everything is OK in the GYN dept.

With me, pelvic pain predates my BC. So, I've learned to manage. If I complain too much, I'll get sent for a colonoscopy.
