Concerned about how my biopsy went today.

I had a sterotatic that could not reach so they did MRI guided biopsy today and they could only place a marker because it was to close to the chest wall. So two types could not biopsy. So it's just marked and no biopsy. I have an open surgical biopsy in May. I'm not sure if they will try for that too or just the original I was already scheduled for. You should see if they want to try another type of biopsy and talk about screening if the will just watch. Im. LittlE nervous too.

Hey Kelly I recently had an ultrasound guided Biopsy, it was also BIRADS 4 with no a b or c distinction. It came back benign, normal Breast tissue. The report said "9mm nodule, indistinct margins..suspicious abnormaily" I first had a failed attempt at a core biopsy, by the Breast surgeon as the radiologist was out sick. Radiologist came back and did a fine needle biopsy as he said needle allows more control (I have silicone implants and they were worried about busting them with needle I was very stressed out on second attempt but radiologist reassured me if he couldn't do a ultrasound guided biopsy we'd move on to an MRI guided biopsy. My nodule was initially picked up on MRI and overlooked when Breast surgeon did a casual ultrasound, radiologist tech found it on ultrasound right away.. With the MRI as a reference. I would inquire about an MRI guided biopsy, or it may be that the radioloogst is waiting on first biopsy result because he may request that the mass is surgically removed regardless of result. Sometimes they just want lumps out even if they're benign. We are here for you to talk while you go through this very difficult waiting period and keep thinking good thoughts, the statistics are very much in your favor.

Hi im new here, and i just recently had a mamogram, bcuz about 9 months ago while showering i niticed a hard golf size lump in my breast so then i touched the other and behold there was another one as well. They are moth abOUT THE SAME size.

My GP sent me to get a mamo, N they had me do an ultrasound bcuz i have very very dense breas . In the ultrasound they seen my palpable masses, Nd they said they were not cyst. I got super scared bcuz they said theu were solid. They dont hurt or anything, N to what i have read, breast cancer dont hurt. They put me under the category BI RADS 4. They said they were oval palpable masses with acoustic shadowing with well defined margins.

So today I went in and got a core biopsy and have to wait till Monday for my results. Has anyone been DX with bilateral breast cancer? I am super scared and wish this was all a bad dream. Now I'm left hating myself for not coming sooner for a mamo, as I am 47 and this being my first time ever getting a major, due to not being insured. Please advice

Thanka so much for your incouraging words, they did say oval mass and well define margins. But I'm so afraid bcuz of the shadowing. They are like a golf size balls and palpable. Now I'm sitting here thinking of how this can turn out to be and I'm petrified. I will get my results tomorrow, n praying for the best. I'm glad I found this wonderful place were we can come and talk about our worries, I just don't feel like telling my family yet. Just husband and daughter knw. Ugh here is for good news.
