Hello Group, I just joined the group. I'm sorry if this has been addressed before. I'm learning to live with lymph. Went through surgery, 23 nodes taken out had 3 positive nodes, chemo, radiation.

I've been on vacation on the Big island in Hawaii, driving around the island in a convertible all week & yesterday explored the volcano national park walking small trails at the altitude of 4000 by the end of the day felt as if my energy was sucked out of me and feel extremely tired (like when I went through chemo) I wore my sleeve all day. My question is can Lymphedema make me this tired?

The probability just has to do with elevation change. At higher elevations, there is less oyxgen and the body needs to adjust to it - 'elevation sickness'.

thanks Kicks, I've been here a week, felt great all week, but after visiting the volcano park all day I'm extremely tired, as if someone sucked the life out of me. I drank lots of water, wore my sleeve and sunscreen. I'm learning my limits and obviously over did it. Going to catch up and read the other discussion boards to learn more

There can be unhealthful gases around the volcano, depending on volcanic activity, wind conditions, etc. (usgs.gov) I would guess that if your body has been through a lot recently, you might be more susceptible to their effects.
