Just thought I would start a thread on wigs.... I have to wear one to work and I am trying not to hate it but I kinda do.  I really thought it would be a nice change to have perfect hair but of course it bugs me and I always feel like ppl are staring at me and that they can tell it's a wig.  I have a long one and  changed up my color.  So far ppl think I just colored my hair but I am sure they are just being nice.  To me it looks so fake!  I unfortunately hate my bald head and wear buffs at home.  Haven't found hats that I am crazy about either.  Feel free to leave wig care/wear tips or anything that works for you during this bald period......

    I had chemo for five months and bought a relatively expensive wig for work. Yes, everyone thought I had colored my hair and yes, I thought it looked fake, fake, fake. I had my last chemo December 3, 2014, and my hair was looking pretty good by March. So, I ditched the wig and started showing off my new hair. I can't tell you how many people thought I'd gotten a hair cut and highlights! Apparently, they thought the wig was my real hair. So, maybe it's not as fake-looking as you think, Leighrh.
