Yesterday I had a stereotactic biopsy for "Punctate and amorphous microcalcs, 4mm cluster"

Afterwards I mentioned to the nurse that I feel quite certain it's b9 andbecause I have fibrocyctic breasts. She said they wouldn't cause / be related to micro calcs. Does that seem right??

I've tried to remain calm and optimistic but am questioning myself; or maybe the nurse could tell by what she saw? (She and the dr left to study the specimen to make sure they got a good sample before I was released)

Being fibrocystic doesn't cause calcs, but most of us develop calcifications when we age. It is only when the calcs are in specific groups or patterns that they deem them suspicious, but yes, most of those still turn out to be benign.

My micro calcs are in a cluster, Bi-Rads 5 and lit up on a PET Scan, is there still a chance that it could be benign? My biopsy is scheduled for Monday.
