i had a recrrance in my lymph node..I was TN in 2013 and this came back NEGATIVE for HER 2, then the FISH made me positive for her 2?!?!? CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My treatment plan is TCHP 6 cycles. Has anyone one only done 4? I did ACT the "last time" around. ALso, DO all of you ladies have a port?

Thanks!

    Alibeths,

If your treatment plan is six cycles it means your onc sees it fit to get six and not four. There those who take 4 but i don't know which stage or what circumstances. I am almost done with 6 or i will be in may. And will continue with herceptin/ perjeta if the results are good. I hope this helped.

I tried to talk mt MO into 4. He said it was my choice, but 6 is the protocol and that's what he recommended so I did the six. At the time I thought it would kill me, but now I'm glad I did all 6.

I didn't have perjeta. The herceptin is easy. The TC part was not so great, but you get through it. The worst SE for me was the awful taste in my mouth that never went away. I lost hair, but not nails. Little neuropathy in my toes. I needed extra fluids 3-4 days after infusions, that really helped. Good luck to you.

6 is the protocol. Couldn't feel the tumor in my breast after 3 but we'll continue with 6. I have two more to go. Fatigue and awful taste in mouth gets worse and lasts longer with each infusion, it seems. I have no port and have bruising on both arms from the Taxotere. Hair gone before 2nd infusion. Eyebrows really thinning now after 4. Nails partially darkening.
