This is madness!

My apologies for my lil outburst, but why can't I get my MRI results today? Why must I wait til April 21st for my next onc appt to hear the news?? I was told that the images themselves look "ok" but my onc will go over the specifics with me on the 21st. Why even tell me that much? That worries me even more!! Ugh! I just want answers. Apparently that's asking for too much at the moment. I am not a waiter. But I guess I now have no choice. Super.

I always call the facility where I had the test and go pick up a copy of the report. I don't wait well. Is that something you can do?
All the best to you

i had it done once after the surgery....actually it would be fine if they didn't tell you the result right away. if there's something, i am pretty sure they'd alert you or your MO.
from my experience, the radiologist is right next door to check the imaging...so basically no news is good news.

Spendygirl, thank you for the suggestion! I will be asking them for a copy tomorrow morning.
juneping, as much as I wish it was no news is good news, that is not the case. My onc wants to be able to sit down with me and explain everything. I called my GP as well and the nurse said she has a copy but wasn't comfortable with explaining it to me over the phone. That tells me there is more to the results than just good news. Then again, it could be all well but the wording everyone used on me today only freaked me out more.

I 2nd the idea of picking up results....your MO is borderline sadistic to make you wait like that. ((hugs))

Oh my stars I agree! Hugs back!

So much for going the facility that did my MRI. They refused to give them to me. They said they need at least 48 hours to get it ready for me. I don't understand this at all. My PCP has yet to call me back and hasn't even checked my results yet. I have called 4 times in the last 2 days. Am I wrong in thinking no one wants me to know my results?? I see my onc next Tuesday so I'm just going to "try" to busy my mind with as much as I can until I see her. This is rediculous. I have never had to wait for results/path reports on anything before. Gonna need a sleeping pill tonight. My mind will not shut down for nothing otherwise. I just don't know what else to do.
