A scary time, for sure! Let us know what you find out.

Went to the YMCA and did the last 20 minutes of the hour in aquatic aerobics. Then was in the sauna for 10 min and finally did the final assments for livestrong program to see if any progress has been made, the results are ambiguous I feel like I got worse on the fitness workout but the water aerobics really helped, so I've decided to sign p for a full membership (with a scholarship) for me and my family and will continue working out even after livestrong ends this Thursday.Aurora
-
Aurora - that's great that the water aerobics really helped and that you are going to sign up for a full membership!
Ruthbru - hope your foot gets back to 100% soon!
Patoo - sorry to hear about your bad allergies - hope you are feeling better soon! Mine are driving me crazy, too in NC. Cars are covered in pollen and the cracks in the driveway and sidewalk are all yellow. We had a little rain today, so it washed some away, but I've still been sneezing and blowing my nose like crazy. I think I should have bought stock in Kleenex because my family sure has used a lot of it this year!
I did some arm exercises and general stretching then managed 20 minutes on the stationary bike. I hadn't done the bike in a long time and even that amount of time was tough - legs felt like jello afterwards! DH suggested I add an incline to the treadmill since I have noticed stairs are challenging to me, so I may try that but only a little at a time. Have some foot issues that have prevented me from adding the incline in the past, but maybe it's time to try with some baby steps.

Mel, what part of North Carolina are you
in? Wonderland lives there, and I have a sister in Raleigh, a nephew in Charlotte, and a niece in Greensville (all of whom are getting nailed by the pollen right now....in fact, here is something my nephew posted on Facebook which you & patoo can probably relate to):
-
Congrats on the clear scan Meljo.
Patoo, hope your allergies ease up soon. I get the watery/itchy eyes but use eye drops to manage my symptoms.
Rainy day here today so went back to bootcamp tonight. Really sore post workout so will do something different tomorrow night.
Sweet dreams sculpted sisters.
-
Hey all - workout #1 of week #2 of c25k after work tonight. On iPhone so short post.....not very god at keyboarding on this thing...❤️ to al
-
I spent almost two hours in the dentist chair today getting a crown replaced, so I had to push myself to exercise. I did about 20 minutes on the treadmill. Better than nothing.

-
Felt pretty flogged after gardening today--it's pollen season here too. Love the Death Star graphic, Ruthbru! So right on!
Taxes have kept me from posting much. Doing nothing but walking right now and will push myself to go to yoga Thurs if I can ever stop coughing.
Penzance - Hope your biopsy results are negative, as in good. I know the waiting is tough.
G'night all
-
Odie did you go see the cherry blossoms? Patoo hope you are feeling better. Auroya you will reap the benefits of the full membership, you've laid the ground work you will get stronger as time goes by.
I have the stomach bug again, reared it's ugly head yesterday so I just laid low but today I did Body Pump and Body Jam, my muscles are all screaming
-
30 min walk with hubby today and laundry
-
Penzance, welcome and can relate to working out during stress of waiting for results - fingers crossed for much less than you anticipate. Evilmidget, welcome and reads that you are on track to work it back-fast. Good to read of everyone adapting consistently, to either adding to workouts for more challenge or digressing for times of recovery. I'm grateful to be in the company of such wonderful, fit and healthy women.
Vi-box and body balance at the gym this morning.
-
Walked down to Dunkin' to get my breakfast! Gonna be a busy weekend for me as I have to try and get everything done in the house prior to my surgery next Wed. so I won't be tempted to do something that might cause me a problem while I'm recovering!
-
Did some walking and feel totally knackered today. I have felt more crappy from this cold than I did post-surgeries. Geesh! At least it stopped raining and is beautiful--75 but with a cooling breeze.
-
I walked 30 minutes yesterday at lunch. 27 minutes at lunch today and after work I walked the dog 20 minutes.
Yeah, meijo to a clear mammo! Penzance thinking of you as you wait on that biopsy.
Mel I lived in SC and I so remember the pollen covering your car. it looked like someone sprinkled a thick coating of yellow chalk dust all over. Beautiful time of year, though, besides that.
Kat I had to look up what knackered meant and it turns out I'm totally knackered too.My son woke me up at 10:30 to report he had a fever and that was the end of my good nights sleep. It's 6 pm and I think I'll be asleep by 7.
-
Yay, Meijo for a Clean and clear mammo!
Nice gingerly walk today and 30 mins of cardio dvd. Kay I am knackered today too. Didn't get a good nights sleep but did get n a good nap today.
-
I am sorry you two are knackered too! Word of the day. Comes from my NZ boyfriend.
Yay for siestas!
-
Love the word of the day. And feel pretty knackered myself..
I was unable to get down to the Cherry blossoms this year Cheryl. The weather cooperated with one beautiful weekend which happened to be the first weekend in a string of very busy weekends between now and June. Lots of exercise events and other fun stuff. Have a family bridal shower this weekend.
Changed up my routine and hit the gym after work today for 30 minutes on the Elliptical.
-
Had some rain so pollen held at bay a little. Walked outside for hour and a half (10,980 steps).
Night sculpted friends.
-
Migraine today for me, so no walking or anything. I'm just glad to be home, sitting on my couch!
Edited to add - knackered! Yes!

-
Ruthbru - I am just outside of Charlotte in Mooresville. I think I am a little under an hour away from Wonderland. Many months ago she and I pm'd about getting together sometime for lunch and it seems like I have dropped the ball on that one....sorry Wonderland
Wonderland - still hope to get together one day...it seems like I can't manage to get my life organized these days!
TwoHobbies - yellow chalk is a great description of the pollen...looks exactly like it.
Did not make it on the treadmill today...will definitely get on it tomorrow. Got some laundry done after work and am working on making my headache go away!!
-
Had a fun, fun day! My walking group took a road trip & visited some friends who moved to a much larger town 100 miles away when they retired (to be near their children). We took a fantastic walk, were hosted by one of the gals to a great brunch & spent the rest of the afternoon shopping (I bought pajamas and some workout clothes, and a kitchen rug, so didn't exactly break the bank!). Got home in time for my lovely evening yoga class.
-
Good news-it has been sunny and 60 here the last few days. We are on school break this week and it finally feels like spring.
Bad news- my hip is still really bothering me. I have only been able to get some slow paced walking in. Not able to run at all.
Ruth- wish I could make it there this year but please add me to the list for the next get together.
-
Ginger, you are on the list!

-
Laundry and housework is the exercise plan for the day
-
Feeling better every day. 30 minute walk this morning and then yoga.
-
Hey all - not reporting exercise, just wanted to let everyone know I've changed my email address for bc.org. I was previously using my work email but they're really cracking down on that so I just changed it to my personal gmail account. I don't currently check my gmail often (because I used my work email for almost everything) but will get in the habit more now.
Mad scramble for me this week trying to stay on top of things at work and home due to being off the grid on vacation next week and the week after.
xoxoxo -
Have FUN, FUN, FUN, and post some pictures when you return!
-
Kat, I was going to ask if you were from England due to the 'flogged' and 'knackered' comments. LOL! Does your boyfriend have that sexy aussie accent that I love so much? I am headed your way early tomorrow morning. So excited for the trip. In 25 years of marriage, we have never had just a relaxing, beachy vacation. Cannot wait!
Yesterday I ran a quick three miles before heading to my hair appointment. Pedicure tonight then packing... I can almost taste the margaritas

-
Sweet we are expecting lots and lots of pictures and hope you have a wonderful time. I did exercise yesterday but I too was so knackered last night I ate my dinner got in my recliner put Deadliest Catch on then promptly fell asleep and woke up in time to go to bed.
In case you don't know the origins of the word knackered, you call the knacker when your horse dies ... so when you're dead tired you're knackered!!!
-
Have fun! Will do the same. Am having another acupuncture treatment before leaving for a mountainbike break. Hoping for big improvement, otherwise my doctor said not to hesitate to take an NSAID or dexa while on my trip. Nobody will be checking me for doping.
Hope my other injured comrades (Ginger, Cheryl and Ruth) are increasingly pain-free if not totally. Katcar,
.Managed some Zumba last Tuesday, biking around doing errands yesterday and more errands today.
