Baby is doing great, thanks! Unbelievably, he is almost 6 months old. I'm really enjoying not having to go to the doctor every 5 minutes. Started the Tamox last month and so far it's been fine. Hope everyone is feeling good!
-
Hi everyone, Last week I finished my 3 month exercise class at the Y for cancer survivors. Great class, and I feel so much stronger. Looking forward to spring birding and an Alaskan cruise next month.
-
An Alaskan cruise sounds great! We're going to try to get to Boston and Maine this summer, a big difference from Florida. Looking forward to cooler weather! My grandfather took an Alaskan trip years ago and still says it's the best vacation he ever took! Have fun!
-
Hi everyone,
Box...can't believe your baby is already 6 months old! wow! reminds me how long this has been.
Walle...funny...our family is hoping to get to Florida this summer and get some great weather. It can't snowing up here.
-
Obligatory baby pic:
(we're Jewish, but who can resist bunny ears on a baby)
-
Oh, Box, thank you. What a little darling. I'm Christian, but am clueless what rabbits have to do with Easter. Lamb, the sacrificial lamb, yes, but rabbits???
-
lol Box. That's an adorable picture. I was shocked that the little guy is already six months old. He sure is cute!
-
AFAIK, rabbits are one of those Pagan things that somehow got mixed into Christian holiday. Rabbits symbolized fertility, rebirth, spring, etc. same with chicks and eggs I think.
-
Wow 6 months already? He's so cute in those bunny ears. Glad to hear you're doing well Boxofrockstar.
Puffin, the trips sound like fun! I'm going with my best friend to see Lily Tomlin in June. Something to look forward to.
Hope everyone is doing well!

great pics ladies!....mine is slowly growing in, but I still look baldish. Done 4 out of 25 rads....
-
Puffin ~ were you a curly head bbc? It is really beautiful.Mags ~ our hair is about the same length, but mine sticks up on top and I have less color... as in white.
-
Coyote: before bc I've never had a curl that didn't come out of a bottle.
Mine was white for awhile too, and then it gradually turned to pale grey and now is a mixed grey.
Dancingdiva: good luck with the rads, keep lubricating.
-
Beautiful ladies! Just gorgeous!
Dancingdiva - rads will go by fast YAY.
Me I am off to get my hair colored. Woohoo
-
Hello Ladies,
Wow, I love all the beautiful smiling faces with heads full of hair. It feels so good to feel like we are getting back to who we used to be
) I have a question.... Is anyone else experiencing heart palpitations with tamoxafin? I am about 2-2.5 months in and am feeling palpitations lately.. I was wondering if anyone else has any side effects...
-
hi Joeysmommy - good to hear from you. I'm on tamoxifen. I haven't had any heat palpitations though. However, I am on thyroid medication and when my thyroid goes out of whac I get them. Have you ever had your thyroid checked? I just had to lower my dose of thyroid medication (synthroid) earlier this week. I have read that tamoxifen can affect the thyroid, but it doesn't for everyone. It may not even be that with you, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.

joeys mom, it hasn't happened to me, but I heard that that can be a SE.

Hey my sisters, say a prayer for Michael, (husband not child) he has had right lower quadrant abdominal pain, doesn't have a gall bladder or appendix, CTs are clean, surgery consult sent us to GI that day, getting full scopes from both ends at 1:30, the notes from the surgeon's office, colonoscopy for possible malignancy. I'm scared. I have to drop him off, go get my echocardiogram for surgical clearance for my surgery on the 7th. then try to be back before they take him back. Too too much is going on.

kmntwins,Thinking about you and your DH. Praying that all is well.

Thanks ladies!!! The doctor seemed to think all was OK, except odd that he had a few polyps at 48. He is sending them out for pathology and we are to come see his PA in 2 weeks, hence, my guess is he really thinks cancer free, or else he'd set up the apt. with him. Now... why the pain??? The CT said my husband has degenerative disc disease, and the GI doc said that could cause it... but... seems odd to me. Oh well, I guess we will just figure out what the next step is, but for now, I have to juggle kids with sports at the same time and 45 min away from each other and my surgery next week.
-
Hello everyone! I had no idea you all were still active on here! I've been reading about the exchange surgery and fat grafting and it's all so overwhelming! My surgery is May 20 and I see my ps tomorrow so hopefully he wil answer all my questions.
So glad everyone is doing well and I love all the pics with hair! Mine was straight before and it's coming n curly which is what I wanted. I do it up like a fohawk and use a lot f hair gel to keep the curls from poking out everywhere.
