Birth Control Methods for ER+

Hi everyone, I am 6 years out from my diagnosis of stage 1 ER+ IDC.  I am 39 so I still have periods after 5 years of Tamoxifen which I ended a year ago.  Never stopped having those.  I am recently divorced and started dating someone and I would like to know what options are available to us ER+ ladies.  I am in a committed monogamous relationship with a man who has not had a vasectomy.   I considered having tubal ligation but my sister in law has post-tubal syndrome and said she has gone through hell after having it done.  I'm sure that's rare.

Is there a reason that he does not want to undergo a vasectomy? That would probably be my first suggestion. That being said, I had the Essure procedure about 8 yrs ago and even though it has come under some scrutiny lately, I never had any issues with it myself.

There are IUDs that do not have hormones, but that was not an option for me. I used a diaphragm until we were sure I was past menopause.
