Hi my sister was diagnosed four days ago.. Total shock for us all especially my mum who is a pensioner and is also my sisters carer as she is disabled and unable to look after herself. We are going to see the specialist again on Tuesday I think to give him a decision on what we have all decided what treatment would be best for my sister.. She was offered a lumpectomy I think it is or mastectomy, the latter we have gone for. Trying to read up on it all but getting very confused and just don't know what to make of it all. Would anyone please be able to make me understand the report that we have.. Diagnosis left breast cancer.. Grade 2 ductal carcinoma ER positive PR positive Ki67 25%.. Further repeat FNA cytology of axilla. Lymph nodes in left axilla were abnormal on ultrasound and FNA cytology was unhelpful at C1 hence the repeats..Would be very grateful if someone could take the trouble to please explain all this if you can.. Just don't know what to think.. The nurse also said they will be getting my sister in for surgery within the next thirty days.xxx
