Sorry Jazzy! It just takes the wind out of you..... Our older Neighbor, Eddie, is going through the last stages of his life, and it's just so hard to hear about. Theresa, his wife is 91... He is 93... but STILL! She is holding up alright, and their Son takes her to see him, but it isn't going to be easy for her. Together for sooooooo long...
This was on my Brother's FB page.... so amazing!

Sorry to hear this Jazzy

jazzy. Sorry for your loss.
Cancer sucks
Sorry Blondie you didn't get to go. Rest relax
-
Jazzy, sorry about your friend. Hugs
Rosie,
Same thought on the birds. Great belly laugh when he told the story. If animals are simply instinctual, how did they figure out to tear apart the nest? What gene was that? How was that not problem solving? We used to have so many birds. Then we had the attack of the squirrels. They tore open the screen to get at the food. Tore the container apart. Several inside. Reminded me of Hitchcock. -
Chevy- I have seen that video before about the man and the elephant and just one of my favorites! I also love the best feelings in the world post. No. 10 was me, I was able to sleep in this morning after being awake last night and that felt good!
I am going to go play some music today which will be good for my soul. I had a good cry about my friend this morning and that helped me to release some of the grief about her passing. Some times you just gotta let it out.....
Hope everyone has a nice day today.

Today is my 64th birthday, and one year since my unofficial dx. Tonight we are going to celebrate by going to the Jazz Lab at the University of Central Oklahoma and see a good friend and amazing musician. I've known her for 30 years, and amazingly her voice never ages. We sang in a choir that specialized in classical church music (Bach, Mozart, etc.) but she is at heart a jazz singer, plays many instruments. Have a listen on this page, and don't miss Nightbird.
-
Mags- happy birthday and enjoy the Jazz lab. Sounds like my kinda place.
Wishing you a better year ahead and many years of good health!
-
Jazzy - so sorry about your friend.
Blondie - too bad you couldn't go to the conference. But maybe it's better you didn't spend a whole day talking about cancer. That tends to depress me.
Spookie - Kris is soo cute
Freddie is not a poodle, he's a maltipoo (Maltese and poodle mix) but I think he shows more of his poodle size with the curly hair and all
He is a super sweet dog with a very mellow and cuddly personality. All - happy Saturday! I'm in bed watching a show about rooftop gardens. Maybe that will motivate me to plant my tomatoes next week

I just was checking bank & credit card etc. Moffitt CC without asking me changed my thyroid med from generic to trade. Generic cost 16$, trade 104$. I don't think so. It'll be fixed. Sheesh they think we are made of money.
Mags, I laughed too. What's his name, can't think of it. His face is his fortune

Rosie can't wait-----go girl

These are what I finished.
This

Will turn into this, at least that the plan. There's 8 different prints to mix up. That blue square will become the same as the gold one in the finished quilt

Sassy, Rowan Atkinson. He played Mr. Bean and Black Adder.
What an evening! My friend Mary was doing a sound check when we arrived, came yo the edge of the stage and gave me and DH big hugs. So good to see her. Couldn't believe it when they sang "When I'm 64" for me! I'm not sure I've ever heard them do it but it was great! And they do a version of Besame Mucho that puts chills up my leg. It's on their new album called Nightingale which I brought home with me. They did a lot of old standards, Billie Holliday, and one of my favorites of theirs, There Will Never Be Another You. Her voice has stayed amazingly young, clear, almost angelic. I could listen for hours, and I did. We got a chance to catch up during their break. Would have loved to stay to the end but cousin has an early morning. Please, please, do yourself a favor and listen to her sing.
Smaarty, those runners are lovely! Quilting is definitely more art than craft.
Blondie, hugs. I have a cat lying on me so I guess I'm done.
-
Mags,I forgot to say yesterday that I listened to them. They have tremendous talent. Angelic describes them well.

last night both ds's spend the night at a friends. Kid free night used to equal date night. Too few and far between. Now not so much. Dh and I took a long drive in the country at sunset with a sonic slush to drink. Even stopped at the lake for a shirt walk. Dh had to remind me to turn around and see how far we walked. Reminding me we still got to make it all the way back. I did fine but super sore today. The weather was perfect. Back was hurting and i took something for it. Trying my best to still enjoy myself and to make dh laugh. Back at home and I am asleep by 10. So much for romance time. Oh well it is what it is. At the end of the day i would say it had been a very good day. Was nice to get out somewhere besides the dr or hospital. Nice for ds's to both be up laughing all night. Less worry. More fun. Oh yeah. Some awesome (3) friends showed up during the day yesterday and helped ds's and dh whip our yard into shape for the first mow. I was napping. Woke up like wow what happened. So love the fresh cut yard look and smell
