I love it. That is very pretty
-
I found it online. If interested I'll let you know where. It's basically for jelly rolls but doesn't have to be.
-
Like the corners, special!
-
I don't sew a lick but that is beautiful Smaarty
-
Gogeous!!
-
Thought you might like to see my newest project. On to the second side of the shawl.
-
Aly, That is just beautiful! I cannot imagine knitting with such fine yarn. I'm so slow it would take forever. I tried to knit a lacy pattern and got so confused that I ditched it and went on to a new project. I'm not a patient person.
-
I love the beautiful lace shawl. Such an accomplishment. I'm with Wren as I get so frustrated. So far I just knit hats. Thanks for the picture.
-
Aly, very pretty. I have a knitting project that keeps traveling with me but never gets worked on. Someday soon I'm going to get it finished!! I won't start anything new until I'm done and I have other stuff I want to try! Grrrrr!!

Remember the French army recruit who was discovered to be a genius? His mother knit a sock every day, keeping it in her apron pocket. I would love to know how she managed to do that. I think you have to use double pointed needles. My knitting is so loose it would slide right off. My volunteer co-worker brought her sock project to work on after it got quiet. She somehow managed to make 2 heels on the 2nd sock.

Meece, Chrissy, Ali along time ago you asked me to post pics of the Christmas tree dress. I finally learned how to use the camera on my Kindle. I'll post a pic, but it will be in a different box. Already wiped myself out once.
Before I put it up this year. I put the dress in the dryer to get dust off. Some gather strings were broken. It doesn't quite look right, but it's not bad.
Hope this finds everyone doing superlative. Sassy

Sas that's great!! It looks like it would be easy enough to make as well. Thanks for posting it.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Thanks Chrissy, Miss you. My friend did the sewing and pattern. I describe what I wanted. It took awhile for her to envision my vision. It opens in the back. There's is an embroidery ring at the top sewed in like a curtain pocket. I hang it from the ceiling with four clips from a hangar. Someday, I will find someone to make a proper hangar thingy--someday LOL. I have bridal lace and dye for a top thingy. The lace thingy would cover the area that's not gathered. Never got around to doing it. It looks big in the picture, but the room is balanced. It's great at Thanksgiving time to just fold the sides back on itself and remove it. I used to swing it around the back of the tree and hold it back with a brass chain. It took a bit of work to have it drape right behind the tree. But know I hang it in another room in season-less work. Takes about ten minutes. The tree is fully decorated underneath. I did this in a time that the fellas were moaning too much when it came to decorating. The older I get the more I appreciate the no hassle too. ) HUGS -
Did this in a class. It went to Australia the other day as a house warming gift. My oldest son has finally moved there. this is beige and black even though it looks b/w
-
Smaarty, Great housewarming gift. Very nice!
-
Smarrty, That's simply beautiful.
-
sAS SHatzi, I love your Christmas tree dress! It is wonderful and so time saving. Super great idea!
Maybe you can post a photo of your actual tree when it is unveiled this year?
Hugs Ginger

Hi Ginger Long time no see
Thanks. before rehanging this year, I put it in the dryer to air fluff the dust off. Some of the gathering strings broke. In the beginning when being made, I kept raising the gathered areas higher and higher. Unintentionally, created sections. This ultimately was an advantage when some of the strings broke. The whole vertical string didn't break for a section(7 panels). A sewer can see where the strings broke. I can see. I don't think the average person can tell.
Big hugs back sassy

Hey everyone, Just checking in. Been out of commission for most of the first part of the year, but no quite as bad as last year ordeals. Hope everyone is doing well.
