-
Became an Avon Rep. today. Hoping I get an order soon.
-
Mommyof2 - good luck with your new venture!!
-
Wished you lived nearby Mommy.
argh I need coffee.
-
Alyson, I have a website for Avon.
I'm going to need all the luck I can get.
-
Hi Mommy, I love some of the products they have, and I wish you could be my Avon Lady! You got this! Cheryl
-
Cheryl, i'd be happy to be your Avon Lady. I'll PM you my link where you can order directly from me and have it shipped right to your house.
-
Mom2!!!! I grew UP using Avon! PM me too, I want to see if Avon still sells their great brushes! I have most of one, and I use it everymorning STILL!
It is amber color, with "natural" bristles. I met my Avon Lady when I was about 24... She told me I had to use cream on my face, to keep it wrinkle free...Ha! But since those years, I have always made my own creams, etc. I bought an expensive one, and I read what all the ingredients were, so I started making my own... Ingredients that worked for me...
Mel, I watched a Robin's nest one time! Both the "parents" would "clean" out the babies mess every time, Ha! I watched them take it away, AND the hatched shells... they didn't want squirrels, etc. to know where they were, I was told.

One time, they made a nest in a hanging house plant basket..on our front porch.... I could only water it when they were both gone! It is so interesting to watch all this going on....
I think there are live-stream websites that show Eagles with their chicks...

Welcome Mellie, Glad to have you here
Spookie-Spookie looks like Peg from "Lady and the Tramp". Cutie.
Blondie have fun at your conference.
Dutchy, Funny
Our kids do the strangest things. DS that can argue cases before the supreme court yet can't understand that I have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. Course it didn't help that I yelped very loudly b/c of a back glitch. Mostly, Condolences , sorry about your friend. Sad. Hugs
Chevy, ohhh Cami. Send our love and missing her
Teka beautiful snow shot. Fresh snow is a wonderland--until driving. My fav is a fresh snow with ice on the trees and the sun shining.
Aly, sorry you aren't sleeping and sorry about the loss of your young cousin. Please express condolences to DH. Hope to see you here more often.
Mags , we had a schnauzer beagle hybrid. She was a runner too. Same as yours, she'd go to a stranger. Made us crazy running and chasing her. Only dog I ever had that wasn't well behaved. Have a nice nap. Mags, that saying could be applied to us "Live like someone left the gate open"
Hi1--great pic---your were beautiful!

A story for all bird lovers. At the wildlife refuge that surrounds Kennedy Space Center, a docent told us the following tale. He observed over three days a pair of eagles trying to fledge an eaglet. They would chase it off. Each day it came back. They're was an eagles nest here that was documented to be fifty years old. So, what the eagle parents did on the third day after the eaglet returned yet again, was highly unusual. They tore the nest apart.
-
Sas, will call from car line about 12:30.
-
Not going to be a happy camper if we get thunderstorms later. Jackson hates them.
-
Hootie hoo all. Had new mo appt. was quick for sure. Doing pet in 2 weeks and Runningntumir markers. Don't anticipate it's anything bad. Had countless scans while in hosputsl. No growth. Keep in keeping on. He checking for anemia and diebetes. Some reason for complete exhaustion all the time. Counts low out of range. Nothing considerably.
-
Hi all - great to see spring is coming! I love everybody's pictures. The little doggies are so cute.
I am in my chemo week (which is every other week
so mostly sleeping and lurking
DS (who's 7) in in spring break so there's a lot of Wii playing, running around with friends and chasing the dog. Poor Freddie, he's having a hard time

-
Awwwww poor Fredie! He looks like my Kris, is he a poodle?

-
-
lbgal - I agree - such cute dogs on these boards! I've seen some cute cats, too.
Patty - hope you liked your new MO and hope he can help with the exhaustion!
Spookie - how many pooches do you have? Kris is a cutie, too. Do he and Spookie get along? Spencer didn't want to have anything to do with Dixie at first - was very jumpy around her and wouldn't let her touch him. Now she licks him and cuddles up next to him and he seems to genuinely like her (except when she is gnawing on his jowls and nipping him when he tries to walk upstairs)
-
Just these 2. They're enough!!! Got Kris during chemo, at first they played a lot. I was so happy, but then Spookie remembered she is a diva. Now its all about her, share is not in her vocabulary. Kris is like, whatever.
-
That's funny - Dixie is a diva, too! Even when the vet met her, he picked up on it - could tell she thought she was "all that" and the boss. It's funny that Spencer lets her get away with it. She freaked out this evening when she saw a rabbit on our patio through the back door window.

Some sad news this afternoon. I learned a good friend from days gone by lost a battle with this awful disease. My friend and I worked together at a job here a decade ago, but she moved away around 2009 and we were sporadically in touch. We both had a lot going on with sick parents during our time working together and then for me after. My friend leaves a young daughter.
I count my blessings I am still here. But my heart is heavy for the loss of this really kind woman.
-
Sorry to hear that. Damn Cancer.
-
Jazzygirl - so sorry for the loss of your friend.
-
Jazzy so sorry bout u r frirend.
Didn't go to the conference not up to it.
Happy weekend whatcha all doing
-
Jazzy, Sorry to hear about Your loss,
sending alittle comforting hug.
-
ah, Blondie, sorry it did not work out. Sometimes it's more comfortable to be at home.
I worked in the house this morning, a realtor showed it at 11:00. Then worked in the flower garden all afternoon. Went to dinner with DH & two other couples. The couple that looked at the house said the backyard was too small. We have almost 1/2 acre. Big lot for city limits.
No plans this weekend. Working in & outside the house. The temperature on Monday is supposed to be mid 70s. That sounds really good.
Hello to all.....
-
I just live like someone left the refrigerator open.
-
Jazzygirl, I am so sorry that you have lost a good friend. I hope that her daughter has a support system to help her through her loss.
-
Jazzy- I am so sorry. Cancer just SUCKS! ((hugs)))
Mags-- after your other post live like the gate got left open... "l live like the frig got left open!" What a laugh.. I am with you. I never met a carb I didn't like.. especially good cheese and good bread.. ugh..
Well after seeing the likes of Freddy (most adorable) and all these other adorable dogs, tomorrow I am figuring out how to get mugs of all 6 of ours on here - 3 dogs and 3 cats. It's a motly crew but I love them.
Sassy love the nest story. Sounds like what my folks had to do to get rid of my youngest brother.. they sold the big house and moved to a condo. Booted out of the nest- time to grow up and fly! I was going to trim a out of control laurel hedge that our lazy neighbors refuse to trim, until we realized that a bird is making a nest in the hedge... that was that. Stopping further trimming until nesting is over. I love the birds. We have the most popular bird bath in the neighborhood. The other day there was a big fat robin who splashed and carried on 10 times going in again and again! We always keep it filled.
Blondie I am so sorry you don't feel up to it. Maybe things will be better tomorrow and you could still go. Holieineone_ 1/2 acre in the city limits is too small? Oy. City lots are usually tiny. Good luck selling it. Hi Foots!
