Question about 6 months

Okay I received my letter from the breast center that I received my biopsy from and it says benign but it says close clinical follow up, possible surgery,follow up in 6 months. If the lymphnode is benign why follow up? Makes me nervous.

From my own experience, the 6 month follow up is to make sure everything is stable. It can be nerve wracking, but as I am learning, it is important to have the paper trail.

After I had a biopsy of my fibroadenoma I was asked to go for an u/s every 6 months for the first year and yearly thereafter. The follow up is to monitor any changes (if any).
