So I had my first chemo treatment on Thursday and a Neulasta shot yesterday and everything was fine until today.

I can hardly move, i am in so much pain everywhere, my neck, back of my head, head ache, stomach cramping....

please tell me this all goes away soon so I can take my daughter to school tomorrow and go to work. I stayed home while my husband and daughter went to family easter dinner...

plus nothing tastes good anymore! What is everyone eating?

Did you take Claritin prior to your injection?  It is recommended that 10mg loratidine (regular Claritin 24 hour, not Claritin D) be taken at least an hour prior to the injection, then continued at 24 hour intervals for at least a few days.  Some MO advise that you can use the 10mg at 12 hours - but check with yours.  This can be combined with an NSAID - most people use Aleve.  The antihistamine in Claritin helps relieve swelling in the bone marrow as it expands to make new white blood cells which is what causes the pain, and the Aleve helps also and you take fewer of them since they work for a longer period. Often people report less bone pain on subsequent injections.  Good luck!

I had terrible Neulasta pain as well, despite Claritin and Tylenol (my doctor said no to ibuprofen). Around the 3rd cycle I tried Norco but didn't like how I felt on that. The last 3 cycles were better, though, as if my body was adapting. The first cycle was by far the worst for me. I hope you are feeling better by the morning.
