question about my excisional biopsy

happy easter, happy passover and happy sunday!

So I'm hoping someone can shed light in this. I plan on asking my BS at my post op appointment Friday but I figured I'd ask here too.

I had an excisional biopsy and I am awaiting results. I had this HUGE bulging vein running right next 3xt to the lump. It was there whether I was cold, hot-it was just there no matter what. After the whole lump was removed, the vein just disappeared. I'm happy because it was unsightly but am wondering WHY?!

Has anyone experienced this and figured out the cause? I'm think maybe what ever was there was feeding off The vein. Do fibroadenomas require blood flow like that?

thank you in advance :)

Ang1587-it's possible that the mass was pushing on the vein and now it is free to go back where it belongs. It may also be that there is swelling from the biopsy which could be causing the vein not to show.

Try to let the worry go. The waiting is the hardest thing I have ever done. Friday will come soon and you will have some answers .

Best of luck on Friday and have a wonderful week.

thank you :) I was thinking that too. And it could also be from the surgical/compression bra. I can't wait for this to be over! Have a happy holiday :)
