Not impressed with results

Options

I went to a new facility on Thursday for my mammo and US. All was going accordingly until I was called in for further images of my left breast where my onc and I both felt a large green grape sized lump. My onc said it felt like an enlarged axillary node and had already scheduled me for an MRI next thursday. The breast specialist took 4 more 3D images of my left breast and then came in to talk to me. First she said she didn't feel any lumps, then she said that the "lumps" felt symmetrical to her. I do have a lump in my right breast as well, off to the outer quadrant away from my lumpectomy scar. But it they are by no means symmetrical. I am so confused and not happy with the results from the breast center. I'm happy that the results are benign so far but frustrated that the breast specialist didn't feel the lumps and totally disregarded me as a patient. My MRI is Thursday and I see my onc again April 21st.

Thank you bevin. I didn't explain why I felt disregarded. I understand they are very busy and have a lot of patients to speak with but I had all of less than 5 minutes. The bs also referred to my breasts as small when I wear a 38D. It just seemed like she had results confused or like she wasn't talking about me. I'm glad I am getting the MRI which will put my mind at ease if it concurs with the mammo and us results. I will leave it all up to my onc. I really liked her upon meeting her and loved the fact that she took the time to explain everything to me and listen to my concerns. Happy Easter!
