lobal and ductal carcinoma
Hello Friends.....
I was wondering if anyone else had or has both Lobal and Ductal Carcioma together... I asked my doctor to explain this to me and he just said it was one tumor in both. I have never seen enyone on this forum talk about this... am I the only one or am I maybe not reading the headers right when I look for topics? Just curious... have a great!!!

Hi, Kate ~ You're not the only one. My largest lesion was a side-by-side combination of both ductal and lobular, and I had 2 smaller lesions that were lobular and one that was tubular.
There was a thread here a few months ago that posed the same question and had plenty of women respond who also had both ductal and lobular bc. If I can find it for you, I'll edit this post to add a link to it.
No one has ever told me why I had more than one kind of bc, but I tend to think they developed at different times. That's just my gut feeling. Deanna

Thanks Deanna... I appreciate you looking at my thread... I asked at my last apt... YES three years later, what kind mine was and that is what I was told. I asked why both and he just said it is more rare but nothing more than that.
Yeah, if you find the link let me know.. THANKS!! oh and what part of Cali are you in? I am in Sacramento.

Hi, Kate ~ I searched yesterday and couldn't find that thread. Sorry.
I'm also thinking if you were to re-post your question in another, less specific forum, you might get more responses.
And I'm in So. CA, near Palm Desert. Deanna

Thanks Deanna for checking.. I will take your advise and see if I get anymore hits there.. Have a great day and enjoy the weather!!

apparently this thread has been quiet for years but I had 2 different tumos in the same breast, at different areas, I never did ask, but I am going to guess they are both triple positive. They were both found early, and am told that is good, I pray I see no more of BC in my lifetime, it is very scarey, and extremely harsh on your body. But feel free to share here

Hello Jerseygirl
I posted in the mixed type forum as well. I had one tumor which consisted of mixed ductal with lobular features (called mammary carcinoma). Mine too was caught early. It is scary having both types although the docs didn't seem too concerned with that part of the diagnosis. I too pray we don't ever have to face this beast again!

ditto caligirl3. I just finished watching the cancer documentary on PBS and it was quite informative, I I just hope that the cancer researchers continue all avenues of therapies even natural ones such as plant, fruit, fungi, seeds, etc. if God created it, there must be something out there in this world that is natural and still pure that can cure this horrible disease.
