Near-Deadly Reaction to my first T-C treatment

Has anyone else in this group been among the 1% that has had a SEVERE reaction (respiratory and renal failure, plus pancolitis, resulting in colon perforation) to T-C (Docetaxel/Cyclophosphamide followed with Neulasta)? Sure would like to hear about your experiences and share mine.

I had my first (and last!!) T-C treatment in November 2014 and am now sufficiently recovered from my ileostomy to walk, play a little tennis, drive.

I still have papillary breast cancer (the chemo was before any surgery) and am not ready to face surgery. Kind of pondering what to do about that...

Thanks, Babby

I ended up with a perforated bowel after 3 cycles of Abraxane & Avastin. One doc thought it was the Avastin, the surgeon wasn't so sure that it was related to either drug, and no one thought it was the Abraxane (taxol). Never did figure it out, except I did do Abraxane again for 5 cycles and had no problems.

My reaction to Taxotere wasn't that bad, my MO stopped all further chemo after 1 round. Scares me if I ever need to do chemo again. Mine was severe swelling ALL over severe pain. Like hand foot, but all over.
