Scared of ovarian ultrasound results

Hi,

I am just in need of some support today. I just had my baseline uterine/ovarian ultrasound and the technician was totally poker faced. My gyn said she felt a potential ovarian cyst last week, but she didn't seem worried about it at all. And I have a history of uterine fibroids.

I just found out my doc is away until next Monday...I am just scared scared scared about everything -- a potential new cancer or a spread of my original cancer or ??? I don't even know. I just hate waiting for these test results.

    Hi andrearose, try not to panic, I'm not sure if you are on tamoxifen, but if so, this can frequently cause benign ovarian cysts, especially in younger women. I had this problem, ended up having an oophorectomy, cysts were benign. The whole process was scary and I understand where you are at! I wish you well.

    Phewww. Just got the results and all is well! I have some big uterine fibroids (which I already knew about from pregnancy ultrasounds) but nothing on the ovaries right now. I guess you can't read too much into the technician's expression.
