Post-op mammogram before start of radiation- does it hurt?

hi ladies-

I had my lumpectomy almost 4 weeks ago. (This Friday will be 4 weeks). I have a post op mammo scheduled tomorrow ordered by the radiation oncologist to rule out any further calcifications before I go for my simulation and start rads. I was wondering what the pain level is for this? Should I take Advil before or after? I'm worried it's going to really hurt because I don't think I'm fully healed yet.

    I seem to recall it as about the same as other mamos, taking advil, always good to me

    ps....done with all the rads and AL and it is 7 yrs out, confess that yesterday at a routine followup visit, the MO did her little check and my boob is tender still and guess will always be

    I had UMX but Rads Dr insisted on a new full body MRI before starting rads. It was done the day of last adjuvant Taxol which was a week before starting Rads.

    We each have a unique DX as is our TX plan. Our Drs are also unique with not all doing the same thing. So I have no idea if taking pain meds might be for you so talk to your Dr or the facility that will be doing the mammo for input.
